Tamil Terrorists always hides their casualties from the public to keep the morale of their remaining battered and dwindling Terrorist gang high. But when it comes to the final crush in the North, there will be just a walkover like in the East.Velu played his final trump few days back and now left with a pack of useless cards.

July 18, 1996, Mullaitivu - Over 1,500 soldiers are killed, 3,000 wounded.

November 1, 1999, Pooneryn - Over 800 soldiers killed and another 1,200 wounded.

April 22, 2000, Elephant Pass - According to the LTTE, its forces killed more than 1,000 Sri Lankan Army troops. Eastimated some 2,240 soldiers and 128 officers were wounded.

July 24, 2001, Bandaranaike Airport - A total of 26 aircraft were either damaged or destroyed in the attack. The cost of replacing the civilian aircraft was estimated at $350 million USD.

October 22, 2007, Anuradhapura Air Force Base - 14 military personel killed. 8-24 aircraft were either damaged or destroyed.

Tell me my eelam friends. After so many years and military personnel killed by LTTE. Tamil people has not won anything worth having. Did your beloved organization - LTTE win the 'war'? They have destroyed generations of Tamil youth and children, become international pariahs and brought misery to the North and East.

As a country we have all lost. Years of economic development and precious lives from both communities.

Guys and gals from both sides should understand that both GoSL and LTTE are fighting a propaganda war apart from the real war. Both exaggerate casualties. Its a usual war time practice.

At times of war truth is the first casualty. The figures quoted by the GGSL are similar to what the US Govt states regarding the Taliban and AL Queda- if the figures are true there will be no more moslem fighters.

yes, Tamils havent got their country yet. but i can just turn the question round and ask what had GOSL achieved, not only in terms of killing LTTE combatants, but also in terms of burning Jaffna Library in 1981 and killing 17 aid workers in 2006, and everything in between. I thought you were the more sensible person in the GOSL side here on LNP.

so what has GOSL achieved?

What LTTE achieved so far after 25 odd years fighting. Remember recently, they lost the whole East and in North, Jaffna is under GoSL. LTTE is holding on to two districts. So what LTTE achieved after 25 years of destruction. GoSL didn't start the war, LTTE did.

Ltte or no ltte, vp or no vp, if the miniroty rights are not safe guarded by the state, the struggle will go on. but it is too late for the state to do such thing as the tamils have reached a point of no return!
