Only very few highly intellectuals like Prof Wijemanne and Dr Senewiratne from the majority realise the benefit propabilily because those scholars are at least a millenium ahead of the rest ..
You've got it more or less right .. just a small spelling mistake - should have been 'million' not 'millenium' .. |

different eye.Wish they and the Sinhala counterpart think
the same way and mend whatever existing laws and pave the
way towards PEACE. |

Good article which describes the ground reality of Sri Lanka. However, it is sad to read the misinterpretations about the King Dutugemunu. The crime he has done is the defeat of an invaded king.
Also it is not clear or how to analyze, why India supported the terrorists at that time.
Anyway it is happy that at least somehow someone has understand the reality. |

Nothing is possible for the Ceylon Tamils until Prabakaran is a factor in the balance of power. Tamils need educated leaders with a vision fit for today?s global village.
Looks like we have something in common.
Don?t you think this could be the starting point for all the SL Tamils, the SL Muslims and the Sinhalese to list the things we have in common and look at peace from a different angle? It should be with the eyes of a Sri Lankan citizen and a clear message: the dark days of the past should not prevent us all from finding a mutually acceptable solution.

Beautiful & worth reading.
Extracting deep rooted facts intelliently placed to remind us the past history to the present, is commendable. Honestly with no prejudice every Sinhalese and Tamil with concious will agree whole heartedly and accept the same with no dispute.

Our Colombo-Tamil leaders arrogantly started the ball rolling, and even claimed that they are 'ready for state terror'. The local militants realized that they were being bamboozled by the Colombo set, and they captured control, killed those leaders, our best men and women, and made cannon fodder out of our children.

Under the alias of a Tamil name, Mr. S. Rasalingam is using the words that used to come directly, almost verbatim, from the mouth of that chauvinistic polemicist, Mr. H.L.D.Mahindapala, and his enabler on the web?that senile and corrupt former SLFP organizer in Jaffna, Mr. K.T.Rajasingham.
It seems to me that Mr. Mahindapala is deliberately making some errors to make it appear he is some ordinary Tamil guy and not the polsihed Sinhala racist that he is. Though it sounds reasonable, using the standard technique of polemics, Mr. Rasalingam, er, Mr.Mahindapala, is giving half truths and suppresses the history of violence that the successive Sinhalese governments have unleashed against Tamil people.
