Here we goooo...

Sri Lanka imposed censorship on war reporting a week after Tamil Tiger rebels carried out a devastating attack on the country's air force, a government notice showed. President Mahinda Rajapakse used tough emergency laws to ban the publication of any information on military operations as well as procurements, a gazette notification obtained by AFP showed. The move follows last week's rebel attack that virtually wiped out Sri Lanka's spy plane fleet

SLGOVT says

Delivering the keynote address at the convocation of the Sir John Kothalawala Defence University at the BMICH,President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the Government always maintained the position that a political solution should be provided to the ethnic problem. The Government?s intention is to bring an honourable peace to the country, it is not ready to betray the victories won by the three armed forces nor would the Government enter in to a peace that would betray he country?s sovereignty

And 50% of the SL population (UNP) says

The main opposition UNP Tuesday vowed to work out a fresh peace initiative by signing a new accord with the LTTE for the cessation of hostilities, once it assumes office. UNP frontliner Lakshman Kiriella told a news conference the party would work out a solution acceptable to all communities with the support of the international community including India, taking into consideration the present ground situation in the North-East

Is this what we called double standard.

Censorship could be sign that war will intensify

there is also a ban on reporting on sla operations/sla losses and procurement of weapons.

that could be the reason no report on the death of 3 dpu
soldiers yesterday.

AS I HAVE said many a mtime the way to elam is through
mahinda chintana.

AFP report today says that ltte commandos smashed thev airbase.SEVEN ltte got away 2 hours after battle started with weapons .
