2000 human beings (even though some of them are not soildiers like goman's sons) in this country were killed by LTTE during CFA?
According to Defence.lk or MoD 56 people were killed during the 4 years of CFA, not all of them were killed by LTTE.
During the two years of MR's rule more than 5000 were killed and 2000 disappeared. In 1 day alone 210 soldiers were killed in Muhamalai debacle.
Do not lie to prove your point.
Harry Gunatillake is against war , the main reason may be that he lost a precious son of his. Why do mothers of dead soldiers form an organisation to oppose the war? They know the pain.
Why does the president openly say he 'is not worried of the aircrafts damaged or 13 soldiers killed? He is fortunate that none of his children got killed and none of his properties damaged. He plays a safe game as other 225 law makers including Muslim and Tamil MPs. |

Yes more than 2000 non combatants did die after CFA,more weapons were smuggled in as the terrorists had the upper hand and had the momentum and was not genuine in coming to a agreement.But the reality was the hopeless situation that prevailed prior to CFA.Do you believe in tactical retreats,etc? I must say it was a good move as one must realize the battles for everlasting peace and prosperity is not only fought in NE but abroad with the help of the IC and getting the Diaspora on our side as it would be more powerful that any battle won.Also without the help of the IC we will never end the fundrasing by the rebels,which I think is the big battle and RW was in the right track.Our AF are quite capable of dealing with any build up,though it may occur after the CFA. |
