Sinhala only act came in 56. If you study a little bit you would know that even before that Suntharasingham and alike wanted to be seperated.
IllanKema,
Mr. Suntharalingam had asked for separation, but the Eelam Tamils didn't want to separate, they wanted a united, secular, democratic and modern Ceylon, that's why they didn't vote for him.
Sri Lanka has never been united or integrated in her long history, it has never been one single country and the English annexed the three kingdoms and made the so called country Ceylon,
We, the Tamils didn't give up our kingdom that easily, we fought with the Portuguese and mercenary Sinhala soldiers, therefore we didn't willingly join this Sinhala Sorry Lanka, we have the right to get back our lost sovereignty and we will.
The Tamils will sacrifice themselves knowingly and willingly to defend their homeland. You have seen that yesterday, we Tamils are emotionally attached to Tamil Eelam no matter where we live. We will free our land from the Sinhala Buddhist chauvinists.

There's a good chance you will find many sleeper cells waiting to attack KIA...
Unfortunately, this is very true. No matter what LTTErs say, tamil can live almost anywhere in SL. It is very easy for LTTE cadres to infiltrate. Unlike the mono ethnic land, rest of SL is open to all. They exploit that right to the fullest. Everyone has to be vigilant on any suspicious activity and suspicious people. |

SF:
I saw how they made holes in the fence of the base. How do we secure the perimeter? Dont we have some sort of electronic surveillance and motion detectors and what not? Arent these fences illuminated with guards standing 24/7? Where do they guard? Just the entrance gate? It doesnt look very good.
