Pera,

I am concerned about your safety in Kandy....Eelam air can reach you in no time!!!but not a worthy target

Regarding the Tamil terrorists I confess my experience is limited and the ones whom I met are the fellows who were brought to Colombo after being injured and captured.

My last trip to the North was in 1987 but I am eager to visit there to see the orphanages and other institutions run for the handicapped people.

From what I gather they are managed beautifully. No corruption, no abuses and no robbing as what commonly happens in the south.

Instead those bullets must be reserved to use on innocent TASSLs...geting too big for their boots... and ask for peace and democracy...

Way to go Velu... kill anyone who does it.... while our experts press GOSL to offer 'piece talks' to LTTE! SLDF... round up and eliminate the SWETs who are hiding among TASSLs waiting to bomb us.... That will also ensure pressure is increased on the TASSLs to go after LTTE.

Terror can only be met through multiplied terror... you are doing good... but hey... looks like you can do better. Explanations / history lessons era is long gone! Time for action... without emotions.

Vinivida, take a deep breathe and relax, the Tamils are not going anywhere. Each and every Tamil is emotionally attached to the Tamil homeland regardless of where we live. Prabhakaran doesn't need to be stingy with the ammunitions, because the Tamil Diaspora will replenish them in no time.

You are talking about prolonging the fight to kill all Tamils, but too bad the second generation Tamil Diaspora earns much more than the first one. You know what I mean, :) Prabhakaran doesn't need to worry about bullets at all.

Ee..ya,
How many young people we can keep sacrificing without a political gain?

This attack was to safe lives, don't you know the continued aerial bombings and atrileray attacks were killing civilians and LTTE cadres alike, at least that's what the GOSL boasted, for the last 20 months. So the destruction of the 16 aircrafts was inevitable to stop futher bombings and killings but the consequectial killings of 21 brave men by SLAF personnel would have been avoided if the defence establishment realised that it was a humanitarian mission targetted against the bombers and not civilians or even SLDF personnel.

Gosh, Tamilnut is going to ask for my services as a cut and paste artist now....

Lemme see....

I cut'n paste this...
Sri Lanka was in the receiving end. They are planning their massive air, ground and naval retaliation to wipe out the Tamil Tigers.

More than 18 Sri Lankan airmen and 16 Tiger rebels were killed in a coordinated air and ground pre-dawn attack on Monday by the Tamil tigers on an air force base in Anuradhapura situated in North-central Sri Lanka. Tigers used two light aircrafts to drop two bombs. The attack had a surprise and precision element. At the same time close to 20 Tiger commandoes attacked the air base with a suicide mission.

The battle was fierce between the Tiger commandoes and the security forces at the air base.

Sri Lanka Government is consulting with the Indian counterpart at the highest level before crushing the tiger rebels.

Sri Lanka may use precision radar guided missile to target the Tiger rebels. They are in consultation with many countries before introducing high-tech weaponry in the region.

with this...theeereee...

Navy on alert in the wake of LTTE?s air attack

Staff Reporter

RAMANATHAPURAM: The Navy?s ships and installations, including Naval Air Station at Uchipuli, had been alerted following the LTTE?s air attack in Sri Lanka.

?We are closely monitoring the situation,? Commodore Phillip Van Haltren, Naval Officer-in-Charge, Tamil Nadu, told The Hindu over phone on Monday. Though IAF was taking care of air defence, the Navy was in close contact with it to get air object signal, if any, from Sri Lankan side.

Mr. Haltren said a high level team of IAF officials met him in Chennai recently and discussed ways and means to enhance the coastal security and sharing of information. ?We have chalked out a mechanism to share information among us so as to take quick action. It is working very well. We are in close contact with the IAF Liaison Centre at Meenambakkam to share information,? he added. He said air surveillance had been increased on Palk Bay, Palk Strait and Gulf of Mannar areas.

The Navy had a plan to strengthen its security along Rameswaram coast. It would be operationalised soon.

Ah, well done Velu...a masterstroke!

Prabhakaran, who knows his enemy best! could be in concurrence with headlines universally for heroism.

GOSL could be in concurrence with headlines for it's Pan handling/ begging.
