first of all, he is not an Indian but a srilankan, his ancestors may be Indian just like YOURS and MINE.
secondly,,
there is a question need answering, what if the ltte lay down arms?,, will the gosl carry on with the same policies or abandon the current policies to peacefully separate the island.
without knowing the answer, it would be hard for any neutral person to ask the ltte to give up arms.
so far the successive govt's failed to convince the world on the national question.

Oct 12 (AP) A series of gunbattles between troops and rebel fighters across Sri Lanka's volatile northern region killed nine rebels and one soldier, the military said Friday. The deaths came amid an increase in violence in recent weeks along the front lines between rebel territory and government-controlled areas. The military has blamed the fighting on the Tamil Tiger rebels, saying they were trying to push back after being driven out of eastern Sri Lanka earlier this year.

IC should not allow the creation of Elam at any cost, because it would be another rogue state like North Korea.
