Pulli,
I am sure you know as per Hindu astrology (followed by Tamils and Sinhalese in sri lanka) the influence of Planet Saturn is very significant...

Thanks for the explanation and I know few things about Astrology though I don't believe in it.....as for the bad influence of Saturn, its what we call 'Senasuru apale' I guess.....I can remember SL people do some Voodoo stuff to get away from the bad influence:):):):):)

Priyanthi,

I am lost...please tell me in simple terms what you have said above

I just wanted to tell you kavanaama irukkavum......:))

Well, Piedmon has been a good voice, sad he was deliberately sacked, whereas the others like Pera and Parademala owners Dammiyanthi are still around.

if the ship (the last one) was fired upon and if it was carrying weapons..why there were NO shooting from the ship..!!

I am sure those Sea Tigers who are smuggling weapons who are basically taking the same route as the other ships also
destroyed would have been well aware of the danger of an attack by the SLN and they would have been ready to give a fight..am I right? no fighting or shooting were reported..why?

Berty
How do you know the 'last ship' didn't fire at SLN
this is what defence.lk reported. I don't expect people to believe them cos it's all punnakku :o)

After one and half day's surveillance of the vessel, the naval task unit approached it around 5.30 this morning. The Navy gun-ships had rounded up the suspicious vessel which had no ensign or name on it and ordered it to identify itself, using international challenging procedures. Instead of providing the information to the Navy, the suspicious ship had opened medium range caliber gun fire towards the navy ships compelling retaliation, causing the ship to be destroyed around 9.30a.m.

Wrong again in your second point. according to available information the 'last ship' was at least over 1000km's from the location where the earlier ships were engaged.
And yes LTTE did put up a 'fight' by trying to flee away from the naval group and give wrong info and finally engage them with medium/heavy callibre guns. Even if it was under sea tigers a merchant vessel is no match for two OPV's one FAV and 2 more attack vessels :o)

Priyanthy sister

The other day when Pidemon was taken off after 1000 posts, someone must have complained but I have to agree the FILTH he used is unacceptable. he went at Moby in such a low level i was ashamed to be present in the same Forum..FILTH in Tamil as well.

I think that was way over the TOP seriously..

yes he is good for the forum cos he is straight about it.but that filth was just awful

To overcome senasuru apaley effect, visit Ruwani's joint at Narahenpita, every saturday and indulge in Sumo wrestling after crab curry feast.
Don't forget to feed the kaakams with crab curry before you enjoy it.
If you forget that important ritual you will end up nondi for not feeding the kaakams with nandu.
