Sinhalayas has turned South to a mess and now trying hard to make a mess in Tamil controlled areas.
I am sure of that. But if you see carefully the East is NOT fully under GoSL's rule or control. It seems like the east is starting to crumble away from the hands of the GoSL. Soon it will become no mans land and then slowly drift back into LTTE control.
GoSL has no money to keep the east under their control for long. Daily the SLA is loosing men but nothing is reported.
The people had a better life under LTTE and now they realize it and very soon SLA is going to loose the East Again.
As for Karuna, it was expected from day one.
To trust Karuna one has to be of the same mentality as him.
Karunas split is a blessing to the LTTE.' Good riddens to bad rubbish.' |

As someone else said earlier, LTTE must be the only terrorist organization in the world who has their own terrorist problems Seemingly, that good trend hasn't just stopped there..now we have a group of defectors who have their own problem of dissidents. What a great homeland in formation!!

Just now, I listened to SLBC - News webcast.
In Sri lanka, Price of a rice Kilo has gone up 12 just for two weeks.
SO, some one, may be a Minister is proposing to import 10,000 Kg of rice.
Their argument, is that RIce producers are holding 175,000 Kgs of rice and they won't give it out, instead hold it in order to increase the price.
I think, If Rice mill owners are forcing price increases, GOSL should have the LAWS and should take those rice out by force and distribute among people for a reasonable price.
Importing rice is not the solution.
For the future, promote small rice mill owners. |

This, I agree, is the beauty of GOSL mess. The people can now clearly see the difference. Especially the unfairness and corruption under Basil-controlled East!
In fact LTTE does not need to do anything in the East. Very soon people themselves will chase out the Basil-controlled Sinhala Administration. Then LTTE can just walk in... East will be a cake walk for Tigers! |

This sounds like what communists did in old-day Russia.
I think the prices are going up due to inflation, especially caused by printing money and by higher gasoline prices. The traders, in order to balance the books, have to increase the price of rice. The problem is not rice mill owners, but this government which is following a path of economic distruction. |
