I think this is due to the channel 4 documentary.
Last channel 4 documentary about suicide bombers.they have used the video footage supplied by the LTTE!
Good luck to these cheap sods,
Nobody should glorify terrorists,their activities or their involvements but this team is from BBC so they actually may wont to know the ground situation.But better wait till GOSL reach Wanni. |

What's the point of pointing fingers at LTTE when we ourselves are part of the killings and cause for the human sufferings. What is the difference between GOSL and LTTE ? We should first correct ourselves and then point fingers at others. Enough of this shooting in the dark and name calling and always finding fault with everyone else. Take a break and look at what's happening in real! This is no big match to cheer up teams! |

See how they have reported it. They painted the role of the Sri Lankan journalist (while hiding her Tamil name) as someone who accompanied the other two British women, when she actually is the PRODUCER!!
This itself is enough for any sensible person to conclude the correctness of the decision made by the SLA.

Do you think that all these documentaries are made with natural and usual events? Most of the documentaries are fabricated to get the original subject matter.
Any one can make a documentary showing dark side of Colombo 7.
And also at the beginning Tamil producers never says they are taking this documentary team to Wanni. To deceive the Govt. first they visit Jaffna then to Wanni to meet that Fat PIG VP.

It seems you have some issues with reading English. I did not say that SLA was correct about what they did because the producer is a Tamil. Instead, what I said was that SLA seems correct with what they did given how Tamilnet tried to cover up the name of its producer. I cannot help if you cannot see the obvious difference between the meanings of the two sentences, but an English teacher will.
As for your thoughts about the usefulness of Eelam, what remains a fact is that people like you will find Eelam useful regardless of the acts of individuals like me or establishments like SLA.

Journalists can make hundreds of documentaries. Micheal Moore the fat bloke is known a radical investigative journalist, who made a documentary about Iraq War and many other topics.
Recently a documentary about Micheal Moore has been made, called 'Manufacturing Dissent', by Melnyck and Caine, Canadians. It reveals how Micheal Moore use stinking techniques in his documentary making.
Frankly, Journalist as other creatures cannot be trusted. (That may well be the reason why US army is using something called embedded journalism. May be not) Recently, I have come across several documentaries with questionable techniques. Mostly these documentaries rely on word of mouth, something told by someone on camera against the word of authorities. For example, the reports from Burma for the last few weeks are more close to gossip than news. One report about Zimbabwe dissent living in Namibia interviews a few people, one is clearly a person running after a refugee visa. It is not clear to me why they are doing this, other than interfering with internal affairs of foreign countries.

| Reminds if the British BBC journalist who got shot (wounded) while crossing No mans land sometime ago. Blamed the SLA for shooting her despite repeated requests not to cross the lines. SHe tried crossing under cover of darkness and the sentries shot her thinking her to be LTTE, but later the news article carried that news as if the SLA deliberately shot her. |
