Why you seek govt. employment?
Because we get a salary without any productive work and also to get a pension at the end.
you idiot grow a brain. it's mahinda who promised to employ these graduates to win elections. All they are asking is for mahinda to keep the promises he made before the election. now that he and his family and cronies are entrenched in power they are only interested in their luxury. how come a lowly tea seller who hasnt even passed the ol is the counsel general in loas Angeles? why cant he sell tea without seeking government employment?
just because you get some scraps thrown at you dont look down on other youth who are principled enough not to lick after people in power.
no wonder with imbeciles like you that sri lanka is in such a mess.

Kurakkan pity!!
You deny them the opportunity to learn the English language and all subjects in English. They are deemed redundant mostly by the mercantile sector.
With their Sinhala education they have self imposed a resraint on themselves.
Reality has hit home and the Law College is reverting to teaching all subjects in English.

| Not a very good scene. Feel sorry about them. In my opinion, something is terribly wrong in our education system. In western countries even people with graduate degrees do odd jobs till they find something interesting for them and they have understand that it is simply the competitive market. In our country every body wants government jobs and don't know who they are going to serve. |

Also have said I like this government, not because I appreciate their civil administration but because I appreciate their administration of war against LTTE.
Mr.Rajapaksa has told forces I am not going to interfere with your war strategies but I provide every thing you want to win the battle. Win the war by hook or by crook.
ltte is not the problem but the symptom, like all jvp insurrections before that. the crux of the matter is that the population is sick to their bones of all the past and present corrupt rulers who in the main happen to be sinhalese. jvp tried to get rid of them twice in a very inept way. the ltte has been more successful, not to get rid of the government but to try and get independence from the imbecilic sinhala rules. they have kept it going for twenty years unlike the jvp who could only do it for a few months. there is a lot of residual jealousy among the sinhalese due to this and the sinhala politicians were able to turn it into a race war and gain support of the sinhala people. now many sinhalese are willing to suffer any hardship if the tamils can be beaten. the sinhala corrupt rulers have never had it so good, people will look away what ever they do.
the success of the forces has less to do with any sudden found competence that was missing for two decades, but more to do with the changed world and sl circumstances.

Selfish ..purely selfish youth. they must realise that the govt is not some kind of 'toy'. it has it's limits. as it is the govt is already carrying too much dead weight. these spoilt youth should be sent packing. join the army or learn to be a vellenda. i dont give a monkey's behind what your degree is. a govt job is not a right except in a socialist state.
if you want that vote in the jvp. but if like your westernised comforts then shut the f up. we've got too many graduates with overarching ambitions. when they can't stoop to a 'lowly' job they go overseas or go on protests. this in a word is all that's wrong with the sinhalese/tamil mentality. too much ego...far too much ego. |

Why are the graduates unemployed when the Economy is growing at 6 - 7% per annum?
6 - 7 % growth is utter lie cooked up by the gvt and central bank, thats what I think!!

Not only Mahinda all the politicos, came into power, promised not only employment but every thing under the Sun.
People in Sri Lanka never bone day before the Election Day, especially graduates. They should know how government could find Govt. jobs, to the same rate as they pass out from the university. And also why they want only Govt. Jobs? Any reason other than what I have pointed out?
All most all the graduates targets executive jobs as soon as they come out from university. They don?t want to join the lower rank and get a raise.
On the other hand if politicos, not got through their O/L, can deceive university graduates what are you talking about others?
That is why I wrote these PRESENT day graduates carry only the certificate but do not have iota of commonsense.

This is the outcome of the currupted education system.
They themselve dont give any space for government to go for a good system, stating BS like it will cut the free education system or noneseonse.
Now with the undemand degrees which were given for repeating the lectures lesson on the answer paper, they are asking for jobs.
Government should find a doctor to clean their heads full of garbadge, instead.
