freedom of speech in Colombo is almost non -existant. anti war protesters get beaten up, democratic politicians like raviraj get killed.
i dont think you have been to Colombo for a long time. There are more than enough peppers published and equal number of televisions supporting the opposition. Any news paper can be published provided they are not a threat to security.
There are people protesting on the road on attacks on journalists. Media men protest on the roads with posters when journalists are abducted. They dont care if you are sinhala or tamil they fight for whats right and government sees this and takes criticism.
you always talk about 1 country for sinhalas and tamils. dont you think colombo as a capital city should set a good example for the rest of the country?
yes Colombo is setting a too good example by letting the terrorists to use its resources, infrastructure in spreading extremism.
What press freedom do you have in LTTE areas. The list of papers can be published is on a notice board. Internet is banned from houses but only in approved places by the LTTE. When Cable TV was offered by CDN to N and E,they said no way. Is this how LTTE feed Punnaku to your people in N and E ?
If they are so confident in the liberation struggle why dont they give access to free media. ? |

Mahinda Chinthanaya is there because of MRs popularity. There is nothing else to it.
If there is anybody who thinks that the Lankan transport problem can be solved by buying cars individually then I cannot help it. If you can shout at the top of your voices to give us comfortable and standard buses and solve the transport problem, I will appreciate it.Simply because a car is made it s not going to solve the countries transport problem YOU BULLS. Sri Lankans real problems has become natural!!!
