| If the government really wants to have peace talks with Tamils , it should stop immediately all harrassements of tamils under military occupation and start removing all arm forces from civilians areas.This should be applicable even for the tigers. |

Gunawardena told The Morning Leader they would now have to reconsider their decision since they were part of the government.
'Now that we are part of the government, there is collective cabinet responsibility and we would have to ask the cabinet whether we can proceed with the motion.
