Stopterro,

we have to keep track of all the LTTErs

It is very easy here, since we have few of our very good friends (Japanese) are working for Japanese Immigration Bureau and most of volunteer translators are from majority Sri Lankans, here it is very accurate and fast,

;-)

And there is very good laws to prevent terrorism, whenever there is emerge of howling kind we send few of our hormone boilers to visit them.

It is very easy, I like this country and how they work, no terrorism.

;-)

Do you think most of Sinhalese in the Parliment are representing sinhala people and their concerns?

after being here for a while i understand they are not. why do you put uo with this.

a quote from HGB!

Give one reason why the Tamils should remain a part of SL, if all what they are going to get is the governance that they have got so far? Why should anyone, Tamil or Singhalese remain a part of SL for that matter?
Let me put it to you this way, why should the Tamil insurgency be put down if all that's going to do is maintain 66 ministers with their perks? Not many Singhalese seem to get this part of the Tamil revolt.

Tamilcanuck and revy

trinco is the reall concern.
used to be 60% tamil, 35% muslim, now tamils are being driven out

last year the thugs burned all the tamil shops in NC road and main road, now the towns shops are mostly sinhalese

how are the tamils going to come back to this area with the tigers now about 80km away from trinco

sorting out trinco is more important than almost anything for tamils

i guess except in the areas under Prabahakaran's gun, where they virtually have no choice, ie., freedom!

I wonder who is repeating themselves here?

Again I tell you, maybe the Sinhala nation wants to mover forward from their nightmare which is the LTTE, but the Tamil people are still stuck where they have been for decades, and no most of those IDPs are in government areas.

Here is a little something for you

Pattipalai Aru (Gal-oya):
Thousands of acres of jungle were cleared and blocked into small units. Huts for the colonists were erected on high land and low-lying lands were allocated for paddy cultivation. Thousands of Sinhalese families were moved from the Southwestern parts of the country and settled on land belonged to the Tamils. The land settlement and land development laws, which had existed since British rule, insisted that beneficiaries of such schemes must be selected from among people of the district where the scheme was launched. Thousands of Tamil families who lived in the Southern district of Batticaloa, were virtually forced to move out of the region to give way to the Sinhalese colonization.

The Government took up the restoration of Allai Kulam (Kulam in Tamil means - tank) in the Trincomalee district. Also, they restored the Kantalai Kulam in the Trincomalee district, which was an ancient irrigation tank that had silted up and fallen in disuse during the centuries of colonial rule. Another was the Padavil Kulam in Sinhalese - Padaviya, where there lay the fertile lands of West and North of Trincomalee. These three tanks were restored, forests were cleared and blocked into units for Sinhalese colonists, who were brought from the south, thus purposely changing the demographic map of the Tamil region.

and the kicker, the words of your own leaders:

Prime Minister D S Senanayake, in his independence day anniversary broadcast on February 4, 1951, declared, 'Colonization of land development activities are going at full speed and we are now able to bring more (Sinhala) colonists to lands that have been fully developed and provided with irrigation and other facilities than we have ever done before.'

Of course not, but that is our point, just because the Sinhalese want to be docile and let them get away with it, why should WE TAMILS?

Previously i thought tamils would be able to live in a federal state in sri lanka. only problem is that the federal and central governments need to be able to trust each other and co-operate. in india it is suitable because the other states can benefit from being federal powers within a unified country, where the central government acts more responsibly

in sri lanka, i cant realistically see the tamils being able to trust the sinhala gov. that is why tamils should go for full independence.

Yup, our futures should NEVER depend on a Sinhala government, because it is the universal truth:

TAMILS CAN NEVER EVER TRUST A SINHALA GOVERNMENT.

The Sinhalese people are a different matter there should be no issues interacting with them as even the racist ones have no power to harm us outside of their governments.

Seems like LTT got only rice and flour to put in the guns.
Well, I wonder what they would use for artillary. Probably coconuts.
