The Qatar press report does not mention about Karuna or LTTE. Asiatribune and Walter Jayawardhana twist the news to launge an attack on their enemy LTTE. This is their opinionated view and not the news. This is the characteristic menace of the Sri Lankan media fuelling hatred at each and every 'news' they invent. |

I think the attempts to get rid of this so called leader is still on and the searchers need one real good situation/chance to finish him off, and when this will happen there will be chaos, .... .
Just think the possibility of end, we saw how sad and hopeless balasinham's final, humans should understand the reality of imminent,
It is an obvious thing that searchers most of the times get what they looking for and chances are high here too.

GoSL should push an aggressive, but sensible military strategy against LTTE.
But they should bring in a JUST and ADEQUATE political reform also, at the same time.

i would not even spend so much time (besides the money the war sucks) formulating a strategy on how to neutralize the ltte militarily.
you are trying to treat the cause as well as the symptom at the same time. thats wrong and you are repeating the tried and tested method which failed times and times again as well as cost-ed the country to be named as a failed state.
what you need is the Tamil people on your side. treat the cause ,people will build a temple for you. to treat the cause you do not need the ltte!
i understood, there is lots of other things involved in your two point plan to archive the final goal, and i assume those things come as one go ,will be dealt with great care to archive the final goal.
2)i would annex the ltte's military wing as part of the state armed forces specially to combat terrorism and guerrilla war fare within the borders and abroad.
(i made this comment thinking that you are for some sort of like a con federal set up)

(LeN- 2007 Jan. 30, 7.45 pm) Assuming duties as the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Services Development Minister Maithripala Sirisena this morning said that it is a shame to be a Minister of the existing Government.
He said the JVP is also to be blamed for the increase in the number of ministerial portfolios, because if the JVP was with the government the number of ministries would have minimized. And he also said certain portfolios have been broken down and that it is a shame to call him self a Minister of the existing Government.
Maithripala sirisena is the SLFP?s General Secretary and also used his powers to strip former president Chandrika Kumaratunga from her party Chairman post. The latest Cabinet re-shuffle cost the 'Mahaweli' portfolio of his earlier held minister which was ultimately granted to president's brother Chamal Rajapakse. The Moragahakanda project which was initiated just a couple of days before the cabinet reshuffle was also held under Sirisena?s guidance and sources close to him say that the SLFP General Secretary is greatly upset about striping off his 'Mahaweli' portfolio.

LTTE supporters talk big on the way Singapore treat Tamils.
I was told that one Sri Lankan man was held in Santosa as a prisoner because he was against the Sin Government and started anti government activities (typical SL Tamils..).
