Asithri:
what do you think about it?.
I think, GOSl should think about other possibilities too.
Certainly LTTE should be cornoered to one place in Wanni. Other than that, WAr also fuel economic development,if properly handle. |

AnuD,
USA used different transmitters to detect the Vietkong troop movements in vietnam. GOSL also should drop such transmitters in Wanni to detect LTTE cader gatherings.
Yet, the mighty US was humiliated and chased out of Vietnam by Vietkong after 60,000 US servicemen were killed.
It may be helpful if 'patriotic' people like you who enjoys Western hospitality join the 'proud SLA' to inspire and encourage their commitment. I talked to many gun carrying soldiers who do not understand why they are expected to carry guns with their heavy unventilated uniforms on under the burning sun? It is unfair to expect those poor youths to sacrifice their lives for your patriotism. Don't you think it is a reasonable proposition? |

Sintamus:
My focus is on Velu. Even in early 1980s Velu chosed to use double engine Catamarans to cross the PAlk Strait. Again, he never landed where he told, in TamilNadu, that he would be landing. Again, in Sri Lanka, he hardly slept in the same place two days in a row.
Not, LTTE uses powerful engines in the boats. GOSL need good tricks to catch Velu and the gang.
Then the FAKe struggle is over. |

Agree. This is what lay people call a mind-boggling phenomenon...that a country can experience real growth while fighting a war!
haha delusions of grandeur, what an idiot you are, now that settles it you are no investment banker for sure, now I'm not even sure you live in NY.
War helps the economy, when you have your own industrial base supportig the war effort, like in the US.
It does not help your economy if your are some third rate hell hole that has to beg all and sundry for money and equipment to finance said war LOL. Edited By - Revy - 31 Jan 2007 04:10:46 GMT |

If you think or are concerned about one thing or one person, you are suffering from obsession. Velu is useful to MR as an scapegoat for his failures. JR created Velu and nursed and cared by Premadasa and CBK.
During his 25 year struggle I did not hear anybody caught him. It's better Sri Lankans move away from an individual however important he may be. No individual is indispensable, he may go tomorrow and somebody will replace him. The struggle to regain the rights will continue with or without Velu. We must concentrate on issues rather than individuals. Edited By - Sintamus - 31 Jan 2007 04:11:33 GMT |
