| | News Image 11812 - Anura Bandaranaike Sunday, 28 January 2007 - 9:45 PM SL Time - Some pictures are worth a million words | | | Anura Bandaranaike became the National Heritage Minister today (January 27th 2007).
Minister Anura Bandaranaike who was sworn in a `created ministry`, called the National Heritage which was a part of the cultural ministry, is about to resign from his new post, sources say.
A few ministers had visited the residence of Minister Mangala Samaraweera, after posing for the photograph of the cabinet with the president, and this group had included Anura Bandaranaike. Anura had wanted to tender his resignation today itself and the ministers who were gathered there had stopped him asking Anura to have patience.
Anura had even refused to pose for the photograph and had been standing in the corridor of the presidential secretariat before Rajitha Senaratne and Mervyn Silva pleaded him to pose for it. The rest of the ministers and the president had been seated for the photograph for over 10 minutes due to Anura`s delay and the president had walked off as he had not arrived. The president returned after Anura arrived at the scene.

I think Bandaranayake team became more strong in SLFP after the joining of UNPers in to SLFP.We can see a
duel between Rajapakse & strong Bandaranayake team
Duel between Mahinda & JVP
Duel between Mahinda & UNP
Duel between Mahinda & LTTE also. Edited By - suduathula300 - 28 Jan 2007 15:56:19 |

Just remember Anura-where ever you go you have lost, the party that holds you is a loser!
Anura is nothing but man who is yearning for entitlements just as a poor person begs for government dole.
what the hell does this man think he is? He lead the SLFP during the tough times could not win more than 10 seats in the parlement. Remember those days when TULF was the majority party ? shhhh..he could not even become the opposition leader!
The man had his chance but he didn't have the leadership skills to lead. Plain and simple. perhaps he should have lost some weight and genuinely cared for the sri lankan peole.
Again who is the hell does he think he is? His great uncle a poorsari, grandfather just a peon in an office. so this man think he belongs to some aristocratic family?
what a joker and humbug! Edited By - stopterro - 28 Jan 2007 16:32:19 GMT |

| CB still tries to back stab MR. Anura is paying price for what his sister is doing. At least now CB should think to retire from politics and stay peacefully with MR. |

Mahinda knows well that AnuraB is not a great fighter. Therefore he is not scared to give him a such a low ministry. But Mangala is a dangerous fighter. That is why he was given the powerful ministery of ports & aviation. When long ago Anura was the second deputy pf the SLFP while Mahinda was a just junior SLFP member. But when Anura joined the SLFP after death of Sirimavo, he couldnt fight his way to top of the SLFP deputy leadership though he has got his sister as the party leader & He is a Bandaranayke's son.
Ranil is a great fighter. Some party members wanted to sack him.But he faced it successfully & sacked them. But today Ranil's position in UNP is very strong. He may win his lost seats in next elections. |

| He and his sister ruimed the country for the last decade or so. Good if he resigned. Now he can go and work for his family heritage, which is a tesimony to the how traitors they had been in the past. |
