Even if they fight another 100 years, the only & maximum solution that they can achieve is this federal devolution.Any kind of peaceful settlement will give a death blow to ltte.

as an individual who is not in sri lanka (and still patriotic) I know personally some of the people who are advising MR. they bright and visionary people. These people as i know them are not interested in collecting millions of ruppees either, if not they would come to USA just like I did after being fed up with the system. so please give some respect.
MR policy is based on policies some of the larger countries such as US, UK, india and Japan. for example a nation that is unable to make food cheaply available to its citizens cannot progress in development (we currently spend Billions of dollars to import food)
people with vision go a long way. MR and his people have a vision and lets make sure they can bring this unfortunate country out of this war. |

LTTE 's main goal is Eelam.They are not interested in any kind of political solution.That is why Mahinda has decided that only option left is to destroy tiger terrorists.There is no point of wasting time in peace talks.Mahinda shouldnt deliver any political solution till SLA full destroy the tiger terrorists.Tigers will not accept any political settlment.Mahinda is quiet rightly destroying the ltte first. |

Well actually giving them Eelam can make sense
sri lanka spend 100,000 billion rupees on the army. this would be cut in 75% if NE is given.
we control the water supplies and most of the resources. up to 60% of NE residents are illiterate. LTTE will have a hell of a time getting thier country going.
we in the south can concentrate on real development. why spend billlions in the north at all.
this is UNP argument. |

Yes it is.Till the Sinhala rascit rule this country their ultimate goal is Ealam and it must be.

what north needs is real development, so that the people who are suffering for decades have access to the same facilities that people in colombo has.
So what stopped 'you' from doing this between 1948 and 1972? Why did 'you' instead kill Tamil people and steal their lands? Any ideas?
So far the only answer I have gotten from a GoSL zombie was that no land was stolen because there are laws against that LOL, some one should point the idiot to a place formerly known as Manal Aru. |
