There were pics on todays paper about rice bags used like they used sandbags to stop bullets... man those ltte buggers are pretty expensive types :) considering the price of rice these days :)
don't think rice will be as effective as sand though...maybe one of the reasons they lost those bunkers :)

Good thing civilians are crossing over to government terrritory...beleiving in troops and the government to provide them with food and security....

SLDF should be able to go all out with their heavy weaponry without having civilians in the way :)

Reporter don't know about those numbers, seems close enough over MR reign of terror, but it was your own military expert Iqbal Athas who said that the SLA have listed a 'colossal number' as missing in action and that he cannot reveal the true casualty figures. SO whatever it is it is much much higher than what your government claims now.

ok. then please tell me for which period (from when to when) are you referring to these figures

My mate Revy the seasoned Lankan current affairs watcher makes the following diabolical statements:

Wed, 17th January -
'' Anyway bottom line - YET ANOTHER FAILURE TO CAPTURE VAHARAI ''

2 days later..

Fri, 19th January -
'' Sri Lanka captures LTTE-held Vaharai - Hindustan.com ''

This ignominious reality is followed by the following..

Mon, 22nd January -
'' The LTTE have moved all their working guns right under the SLA's noses. Including the 152mm heavy artillery. ''

The next day..

Tue, 23rd January -
''..The retreating LTTE cadres left behind a huge cache of arms, including two partially damaged 152 mm heavy artillery guns, in Vaharai in Eastern Sri Lanka last week.. - Hindustan.com ''

My my .. what next??

We all await with baited anticipation for your next ground breaking exposé .. :)

There is no such thing called sinhala army. Sri Lankan army does not have any cadres. They are soldiers FYI.

Funny, so what would you call an army that is 99% Sinhalese? LOL

You know what though you might have a point, there are no intelligent Sinhalese people in your army, ok new name:

Sinhala Dropout Army, that's better.

[ yes revy] that is their modus operandi]

according to dbs jeyaraj bomb tiger areas and say civilians
being used as shields ]

[ ltte now should target sinhala settlements in that area
and say civilians being used as shield by sla ]

[ in east now must go into total war/all out attack /if there are civilians casualties they can settle the account later.]
