....documents forwarded to obtain forged NICs for a suicide bomber were recovered from his residence.

Is it that the traitorous and corruptive practices are so shamelessly blatant that the accused commissioner leaves the main evidence at his own residence to be picked up by the investigators OR is it that the main evidence was planted to frame the accused?

Can any one shed more light on this please?

Is this what money can do?
Or is it LTTE threats on him
In either case Sinhalaya has proved to be unreliable

In GOSL,money can do anythig...
There are thousand of examples for this, including the Gotambaya attack..
Each and every institution in Sri Lanka filled with corruption and political interference..
The best example for this, the recent buying of the UNP idiots by the Mahinda 'Aya, for his party..
Why not arrest him, for under the table dealing to secure the bone seekers from different parties..
If somebody can make a deal with him for a fair amount of money,he will agree to separate this country..
Money can jump up to the hell..Why not Mahinda & Co..

No body should jump to conclusions. This could be a frame-up.There have been many instances where 'evidence' has been planted by the Police and the CID to incriminate individuals. As I gather Vijaya Ranasinghe is not a MR supporter.

This episode boils down to unprofessional and armature frame up betraying even the Gothabay Murder attempt as orchestrated.
