BLUE WATER RALLY 2007-2009 SUPPORT DATES
The Rally Conditions of Entry provide some general information on the route to be taken by the Rally and the approximate dates for arrivals and departures at the ?supported? stopovers. The ?arrival? and ?departure? dates in the table are those of the Support Team rather than those of the yachts - during this period or ?support window? participants know that ?Rally Control? will be in port to provide support.
There are several aspects which we would like to highlight. We have already made the San Blas Islands and the Galapagos Islands special features of the world cruise and, although the Support Team will not be at Vanuatu or the Maldives, plenty of time to explore them independently has been incorporated within the schedule. In this update we have taken into account inputs from past and current participants on our Blue Water Rallies.
It is possible that some enforced changes may have to be made en route should there be, for example, a political crisis, such as those experienced in West Timor in 1999 and 2000. However, the following list of dates should help planning of crew changes, family visits and major maintenance. Edited By - Achilles - 19 Jan 2007 23:10:19 GMT |

As ever, yachts will need to be prepared with refuelling & rewatering taking place on 18th/19th under special Rally arrangements. There is to be a Rally Party at the Unawatuna Beach Resort (Rally 'HQ'!) on the 18th. There will also be a very special party on 19th - a Burns' Night celebration.
