The lesson we learn is that tamil civilians no longer trust LTTE and woudn't consider the LTTE as the sole representative of the tamils..These tamil people abandoned LTTE in thousands. Can you explain why??

The troops were also assisted by airstrikes carried out by Kfir fighter jets of the Air Force and also the artillery fire directed towards the Ichchalampattu area on January 15.
The Security Forces received confirmed reports from a few LTTE cadres who surrendered to them while fleeing the Ichchalamapattu area that a communication centre, medical centre and four luxury vehicles used by Swarnam had been completely destroyed in artillery attack.
This included one Toyota Prado jeep used by Swarnam as his private vehicle. According to information given by the LTTE cadres nearly 50 cadres have been killed during this attack leaving the entire Eastern communications network of the LTTE virtually dead.

no tamil has abandoned LTTE, the sinhala army has taken over the land of ordinary tamils and they are not going to keep fleeing all the way from sampur to kathiraveli to vaharai and then somewhere else
also why did 500,000 tamils leave jaffna when sinhala army took over. dont say what your sinhala propaganda say, that they were forced. i know the people who were part of that exodus |

Whatever you say LTTE's grip on east fast diminishing...They are now on the run...Karuna and the tamil population he represents don't like LTTE presence in the East..Nither Sinhalese nor Muslims want LTTE in the east. If LTTE want peace they should negotiate with the government.There is no other way out of this chaos...
