If Sinhalese were fighting an ethnic separatist war, sure they would do similar thing. But, that is highly hypothetical question.

Now, now Dewey; may be it is hypothetical, but this is how a rational person should think; do you not agree? What made the Tamils to do such things; one has to think along the lines.

Do you believe that GOSL can militarily wipe out the LTTE?

Being tamil is not the issue here. Fighting an ethnic war and accusing ethnic cleansing.

Being a Tamil in Sri Lanka is an issue; the Tamil polity had lost ground to extremism through no fault of their own. Yes, the LTTE is an extremist organisation; now, how did this situation came about?

Is Tamil one of the national languages in Sri Lanka? I believe it is on paper. What measures that have been taken to implement such a provision?

Is there a national consensus among the Sinhala polity about a viable solution to the national question?

I said before: the LTTE put the ISGA on the table; what has the GOSL put forward?

It is easy to label the Tamils as uncivilised or backing a terrorist outfit, but it is another thing for the majority to accept their shortcomings and endeavour to do the correct things!

	complain to the human rights. Srimal, First of all, what those girls are doing in that photo isn't a right but a privilege. Finally, human rights organizations fall under the jurisdiction of the SL constitution. The constitution doesn't address criminal defamation done under the electronic media.

	Nirupam...So this another Ploy of these guys who are fighting a 'fantasy cause'...they keep on using Saddam brigade etc..or some guys go masquerading as Muslims so as to project to the World that Muslims too are with those deluded souls in Sri Lanka. Perhaps, these guys have exhausted all resources and hence this new tactic..eh !?

	Ariyalai_SB, A very good post. further to your post to Dewey i pointed out the SLBC website didnt have a tamilheading in apr06. Dewey and Jillball wrote repeated letters and got it changed in aug 06. the issue is the PRIME site in lanka (SLBC) overlooked tamil on its site we cant expect much in day to day lives!
