Cruelty to Children.
I know many cases children as young as 11 were shot at point blank by SLA in the North and STF in the East. THey were all well documented. Criminal acts on children by SLA are coming out to the open only because of IGOs mainly UNICEF, Save the Children and Amnesty International (UK). The GoSL is trying all sorts of technics to discredit these organisations instaed of redirecting the allegations onto LTTE.
There is no whitewash of the actions of LTTE which you, the GoSL and others spend time and money to highlight, but, a genuine attempt to make other perpetraters of the crime to be made accountable.
By the way these were also children held at Bindunuwewa who were killed and the killers and those SLA/Police aided and abetted that criminal act were set free by the (Sinhala) Supreme Court. I have never seen any comment from you about the injustice done to those victims or a call for retrial. |
