I am very worry because people read this worldwide.
When people see bomb blast in CNN/BCC, they just type lankanews in yahoo or google. They will see what you write versus credebility of people.

| We need people educated who can communicate with foreign dignitaries easily. People like Lalith, Kadirgamar, and so on. Our foreign propaganda lost its clout since the demise of Kadiragamar. He will fit in very well in that role. People like Mangala must understand their limitations. They politician they are not elite. |

Dr.Kohona is more than qualified for this post.
Last time we had a double Doctor he ruined the whole country. Remember Dr. N.M. Perera days?

Lalith I mentioned that our propaganda (counter the false propaganda of the LTTE and their supportive INGO's) suffered since the loss of Kadir. I did not at anytime compare Dr. Kohona with Bush. That would be absurd.
In short we need a person who can speak well, who can face the foreign press with confidence. |

We the Sri Lankan always think that we have to somehow
speak and write the Queen's English perfectly. Look at the Chinese or the Japanese for that matter. They come with their interpreters when they meet foreign dignitaries. They don't have the hang up that the conversation has to be in English. As long as the necessary pointers come across the way they want they are happy.
I remember when a Govt.Agent who was not well versed in English trying to talk to another Sinhalaya in English and
he kept saying 'Goal' for 'Galle'. You know what I am trying to say here. And the guys who was well versed in English kept on talking in English just to give a hard time to the GA. I butted in and started to talk in Sinhala
and the GA came down to earth with his fluent Sinhalese.
This is friking Colombo 7 mentality that we have to speak English the way the English spoke. What the hell is wrong if we kill the Queen's English. Remember Dan Quayle the Vice-Prez of Father Bush who spelled 'Potato' with an E at the end. This guys had gone to the best of the best Uni in States. This guy was a heart beat from the Presidency of United States. |
