Can somebody explain me what happens when a ceasefire agreement completes 5 years?

I have asked the same question too, only the Weeramonkey seems to have an answer, I think the world ends given the way he gets excited about it ;)

Here is Weeramonkey's words on the matter:

'The Ranil-Prabha pact in 2002 paved the way for the LTTE to achieve one of its goals. It recognised certain areas as LTTE-controlled areas. Now the LTTE?s main target is to retain those areas for five years, so they could claim them for an Eelam state. Most certainly Norway will be the first state to accept them as a separate country. The government should take every measure to avoid that,'

Revy, we have come t o the point that we wouldn't trust the Int Orgs to sit the right way on the toilet. So who cares if the claim GOSL is using karuna. As far as we are concerned, the NGOs, the ICs and other peace mongers are just fattening upo their wallets while the tamils and the sinhalese are killing each other

Why is everyone so worried about the 5 year anniversary of the ceasefire? Let's just wait and see what happens on that day.

In my opinion the JVp and Wimal weerawansa and all the other fanatics in the GOSL are as bad as the LTTE. THey do nothing constructive. They sit in the corner and make things worse. If we did not have a CFA, I am sure he would have demanded we have one. MR is a bit more wiser than to enetratin those fools

So going by Weeramonkey's words above, whatever he bases it on who knows, the LTTE will need to strike and capture more territory BEFORE the 5 years is up so they can claim it as part of eelam???? LOL, whatever we'll see, but I am sure the LTTE does not work on silly timetables such as these.

If LTTE is massing in KIlinochchi for another attack, why GOSL is silent without KFIRS attacking them.

Ladies and Gentlmen,
What will happen to CFA after 5 year?

It will be renewd.
During past 5 years, both LTTE and GOSL were fiting. Some weaknesses were observed. In the renewal process, those weakpoints will be emphasised. A few lines will be added to the agreement to enhance the effect.

That is what my understanding about the CFA contract.

I hope you all are happy about the answer!
