Was the CFA illegal all this time? That is what the JVP and the JHU have been saying all this while. From where did you get this 5 year rule? Can you explain that? |

Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse who became the President with the support of the patriotic forces should immediately stop the path he is taking at the moment and tread on the correct path says Dr. Gunadasa Amarasekera addressing a rally held by Federation of National Organizations at Nugegoda yesterday.
Dr. Gunadasa Amarasekera further said the proposals put forward by Minister Tissa Vitharana to divide the country should be rejected and Norway should be taken off the peace process. The President, who promised the masses a unitary state at the Presidential Elections, is now talking about devolution of power said Dr. Amarasekera and emphasized that the President should stop such talk.
Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa addressing the rally said limited operations against tiger terrorists were not sufficient. He pointed out that CFA should be revoked before it reaches its fifth year and the tigers should be defeated politically adding that it was the only way to defeat separatism.
