Sundog Malli
didn't JR provide a political solution ? who sabotage that ?
OH boi !! we are having this 30 year old war cos of JR malli, it was JR who protested when SWRD was willing to pass a bill in parliment, he sat in front of SWRD's house and made him rip the paper he wanted to put forward.
If at all there is one person to be blamed it was JR.
He was a TRUE racist who stood and watched the 1983 riots.
so sad to say his son was married to a Tamil and he has Tamil grand kids.. |

Swathi,

I know but how are we going to do that when both parties looked their horns or on a crash course. |

Ooops,
Swathi,
I too have lot of sinhalese and muslim friends. Does that mean anything for this war?
I think answer is no for your question but it makes you great human being and sometimes good neighbor.
But if 'Berty' ever comes near to my home or neighborhood I'll immigrate to the end of the opposite hemisphere.

Revy,
those were not STF uniforms as I had revealed on my space, they were uniforms for the LTTE commandos Imran-Pandian many of whome graduated recently and I suspect many more batches are coming out FROM THE EAST.
If we are talking about the regular STF uniforms, the ones in the pic in your space are quite different to STF uniform(they more closely resemble regular to SLA regular uniform it looks like)
STF Uniform

Imranpandian Camo

Basically it's vertical stripes (looks horrible)
So both versions of the uniform are quite different to STF uniform. Revy, any more suggessions? Edited By - ThinKing - 17 Jan 2007 02:42:58 GMT |

Swathi,
Glad you asked.
Defining is hard to do as my definition would not necessarily have to be the same as anyone else's.
I tried in my earlier 'sermon' as Berty put it.
Yet I will try again.
SL is a small but proud nation, with a recorded history going bact to over 2000 years, which has fought many a battle socially, economically and politically yet keeping its integrity in these three spheres down to the small unit of a Sri Lankan village, where Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and other ethnicities still live in harmony exchanging support and good guestures towards each other, despite all the problems the Nation is having at present.
It is this solidarity that will make sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and others greet each other in their own style and exchange good guestures leading their own cultural ways of life.
It is this harmony that make a Sinhala family and a Tamil Family and a Muslim Family and a Burgher Family able to exchange sweets and gifts of good will in times of new year celebrations and ramadan.
And it is this solidarity that is at stake due tot he LTTE terrorism in the island. Edited By - ahmadineja - 17 Jan 2007 02:30:16 GMT |

LTTE camps such as Stanley, Paramananda, Bagayadhi, Janak, Jeevan, Diana, Shashi, Eleththiyan, Eleivan, Aridevan, Madurakavi and Raam were captured by the STF during its offensive launched on January 4.
What are these? Hurricane names?
LOL! |
