yes Tamilnet do not report on the camp but has a different death toll on the SLA.

Sri Lanka steps up offensive on Vaharai

TamilNet, Tuesday, 16 January 2007, 08:35 GMT

Heavy casualties were reported in fresh fighting as Sri Lankan armed forces launched a three pronged ground offensive towards Panichchankerni, south of Vaharai, towards Eachilampattu and Uppooral in the north. 12 Tiger fighters were killed and 7 wounded according to LTTE Military Spokesman Irasiah Ilanthirayan who also claimed more than 40 SLA troopers were killed. Meanwhile Sri Lankan military sources in Colombo claiming to have inflicted a heavy casualty, more than 30, on the Tigers said 4 Sri Lankan troopers were killed, inclduing an officer and 20 wounded.
A SLA Captain and a Lieutenant were among the wounded rushed to Polonnaruwa hospital, according to military sources in Colombo.

It is not! but sounds similar to warning a Journalist for writing about the Rs400 million bunker or removing the lady who was an astrologer who wrote bad times are ahead for MR...is that Media freedom?

There is always a hope of peace. Your GOSL never came up with a political solution. Even now we are still to see a proper solution on paper with southern consensus.If GOSL is not interested in settling this politically then we will definitely see a separate state soon. This will be easily achieved with IC approval.

Dear Iranian president, yes I saw the report, quite interesting eh, did you also miss the other interesting part, how the SLMM was passing info to the LTTE ;)

The earlier concentration of SF forces towards the Southern LTTE controlled area of Batticaloa district seems to have more or less disappeared, and focus shifted completely to the Vakarai area, where the situation continued to be highly unstable, with continued shelling as well as one air strike
