Thai Pongal went peacefully
Tuesday, 16 January 2007 - 12:10 AM SL Time

January 14 is devoted to one of Tamil Traditional festivals worldwide.

Last twenty years, south people scared when January 14 is closer because they thought that LTTE would do a big thing on that day. However, we did not see such a destructive activity in this year. I urge both Government and LTTE to reach to an agreement to avoid difficult time to Sri Lankan, mainly the people north, and eastern Sri Lanka.

Yes happy pongal to you too. Yes peace would be nice but a real peace, not just peace for the South alone.

Thai Pongal is to celebrate success. However, this year, no any success was achieved. We have to make pressure towards that better achievements.
