SYDNEY(AP) - A seven-year-old boy was at the centre of a Parramatta, NSW courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the English Cricket Team, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

i was in sydney a few yrs back and it looks very similar to T.O. on a small scale. a cosmopolitan city.
this name paramatta somehow sounds familiar. Is it where a lot of tamils live or is it where there is a temple.

Parramatta is second to Sydney city located in the west.
Yeah there is a hindu temple close by.

I dont visit temples but get my 'tharisanams' everytime i go out. Its winter in my part of the world so everything and everyone are covered up!

Talking about this, here we are in summer and a couple of weeks back (just b4 xmas) I saw this girl wearing everything outside and looked like nothing inside. I may be wrong....but being a girl from SL I was really taken back. dont know whether she is going to work! really may have been wearing all! Who knows!!
Now what is this in your philosophy!looking at this?
