I think this case demonstrates the power of e-democracy.

In any online forum you have to be politically correct. You just cannot say whatever comes to your mind.

Say, when you make a sensible statement, there may be few stupid responses, but ultimately people understand and accept what you say.

On the other hand, the moment you make a stupid politically incorrect statement, boy, you are rammed.

If you try to mend it the damage will be more.

On retrospective, this is also a good demonstration how racial our society have become.

For instance, if this were a photograph of Tamil girls I do not think Raves would ever have made that derogatory remark.

I am sure Raves now understands the blunder he did.

In fact, I tried to warn him, (post no. 5 in the thread) before the things get serious, but he did not listen to me.

BT,

You may pretend that you are god's hand. If the country was clean of phedophiles, I wouldn't mention anything. It gave me an opportunity to give some talk back.

OK

raves:

Typical guys like you, it's hard to stand. I wouldn't be surprised if you opted for underage white girl since you were desperate for white women on this forum earlier.

I didn't call you a phedophile. You don't have to give me this type of stupid answer. :)

Raves,

First I do not think this is the best picture to discuss what we are discussing at the moment!!

Letting the world know what we have to offer
COLOMBO: The Sri Lanka Tourist Board (SLTB) has released a multimedia DVD containing brief television commercials, films on nature, culture and adventure, documentary and sights and sounds of the tourist destinations of Sri Lanka.
The DVD's aim is to help promote tourism in the country, the SLTB said yesterday.
One of the main problems in promoting tourism is to get out the information on what exactly Sri Lanka has to offer its tourists, a SLTB release said.
'Although our island is known for beautiful blue seas, this presentation will help promote the other features of the country which are as attractive but perhaps do not get as much exposure.
'The clips show the hill country, Cultural Triangle, wildlife, safaris, water sports and ayurveda.
'Focus is also given to the cultural heritage of the country and our cottage industry. This includes the perehera, Kandyan dancers, fire dancers, drummers, fishing, carving and the handloom industry,' the release added.
The DVD consists of two five minute clips Sights and Sounds and Nature, Culture and Adventure three television Commercials - fire dancers, the deep blue sea, Sri Lankan cuisine, temples, culture and wildlife, an eight minute clip on Ayurveda - The science of life.and a five minute documentary on Sri Lanka in English, French, German and Italian.
Daily news

There are lot SL can offer for tourism other than the ?only thing you know? and it is typical for you to bring in South Asia for that matter.

There are so many countries in the world that use intimacy trade as their one and only way of tourism.

You asked me if that girl is good looking, in the other News image where the police searching a young girl.

Today you made a most surprising remarks when you see some five year old girls.

Please get hold of yourself. Get some help. If you go on like this, you will be in danger soon.

PERA

PS: No wonder Shakti responded in this manner. I think he has a similar age daughter. Am I correct Shakti?

Ananda95,

There are so many countries in the world that use intimacy trade as their one and only way of tourism.

This is not hundred percent correct. No country in the world use intimacy trade as the sole means of attracting tourists. Not any more. The world has changed.

But yes, some countries like Thailand and even the communist Cuba have earned fame as destinations selling intimacy.

I have stayed two weeks in Thailand last December. (Bangkok and Kanchanapuri) The things are now changing rapidly. In spite of the famous so-called 'massage palours' at Soi Pot Pong (I and II), Soi Thania etc., Thailand now tries to build its image as a shopping city like Singapore and make a conscious effort to control its intimacy trade.

Thai government had brought new rules that prohibit opening of any new establishments solely with female hostesses. The Municipality of Bangkok also says every club should close at 11.00 pm the latest. Not difficult to imagine the way things move. Bangkok will be very much a 'clean' city like KL in another 5-10 years.

In fact, the credit for this change should go to ousted Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra. Being himself a businessman, he understood the importance of projecting Bangkok as a business destination. I think he has largely been successful. (though he was ousted by the people later.)

Raves,

No wonder, why white phedophiles like our skin!

flawless brown skin.

I can fully understand your feeling and frustration being a fellow Tamil. You might have felt for the little ones who were killed in Mannar.

Having said that these little ones, whether Tamils or Sinhalese, are innocent and they do not deserve such harsh and unwanted comments.

I am sure, you have relized the inapproprateness of the comment you made due to whatever reasons. It is now better not to defend it but forget it!!

Shakti, I should have said entertainment than intimacy trade. My apologies.

Cities like Amsterdam makes huge money out from it and that includes so many things and to my knowledge prostitution is one contributor to that.
