How convenient and self serving? You can say so, but the peace loving Sri Lankans do not see things like that. I sincerely hope that you and all other racists in Sri Lanka including the southern racist will get enlightened and hatred free one day.
I agtree, but among morons power is the only solution, because they are not capable of understanding it. |

A good year ahead for SL ...Read here..

UN Special Envoy Alan Rock's controversial report on the Sri Lanka Army helping the breakaway Karuna faction of the LTTE to recruit child soldiers will go before the United Nations Security Council. The Council is to discuss the issue this month. Would that lead to strictures on Sri Lanka by the world body?
Moves by the European Union to impose sanctions on Sri Lanka for violation of human rights and humanitarian laws come up for review in March, this year. This is under the aegis of Germany which has already assumed the leadership of EU. Germany has already suspended aid commitments to Sri Lanka.
The fall of the rupee against the US dollar has already led to a fuel price increase. A further increase in the near future will only skyrocket further the cost of living. This is at a time when the Government has to spend vast amounts of money on the war effort. An indication of its enormity can be seen from the cost of each 250 kilogramme bomb used by the Air Force to attack Tiger guerrilla targets. It costs US $ 2,000 or more than Rs 200,000.
To escape from all these, the only solution for MR and his brothers is to plant bus bombs and kill their own people. |

Where are these traditional Tamil lands? In Tamilnadu? There are no traditional Tamil lands in Sri Lanka. Except for LTTE propaganda based on fabrications, there is no evidence on ground to prove that there has been a Tamil homeland. It was Tamils from time to time had invaded Sri Lanka and had their settlements. Even your much talked Elara was a merchant turned a ruler. What Paul Peiris had told must be true, when they see a resourceful island from their arid lands in Tamilnadu, jolley well they would have invaded the island! That doesn't make this country the homeland of only Tamils!
However much you dislike to accept, this country belong to all the races that inhabit it now!
What is wrong in establishing settlements in areas where the population is sparse? When poor farmers don't have resources to go and settle themselves in new lands, government should help them to have the basic facilities and how can that be wrong? because they have all the right to make use of those resources as citizens of this country! Government has given even more support to settle people in the lands developed under Mahaweli scheme! Edited By - Damayanthi - 7 Jan 2007 05:55:03 GMT |

Thivya:
This is how another tamil wanted to solve the FAKE TAMIL STRUGGLE the NATIONAL PROBLEM.
Ceasefire was a farce and a breather for the LTTE. GOSL should not be stupid again to let another breather for the LTTE. Improve the air force further. Attack the LTTE capms, navel bases and so on. But be effective and sincere in what you do. Once the LTTE is defeated all Sri Lankans would be on your side. Everybody will have peace,. No other way I am afraid.
