Siva,

I'm back in Lanka now for the holidays. I'm in Australia only for university. Sydney's a fine city, a wonderful place to visit, but I wouldn't fancy living there. The unbelievably high cost of living, weather, food & Australia's lack of culture & standards of behaviour really don't endear the country very much to me.

Anyway, I plan to return to Lanka for good after I have enough work experience to secure a good job. My only concern is that I might not be in Lanka to celebrate our victory when the time comes!

That's it from me for tonight, folks. I'm off to bed. Good night!

I do not understand why the Tamil members of forum are trying to kill each other

Hmmmmmm IS it the typical Tamil way????

I don't understand why for more than 50 years Sinhala people can't learn to live with other races on the island, why they killed over 100,000 of their own youth and why they continue to kill civilians everywhere.

Hmmmmmm IS it the typical Sinhala way????

This direct target at civilians shows how desperate tigers are at their continuous defeat at the battlefield.

So you accept that all air raids by SL airforce in N&E on civilian targets are desparation by GOSL that they are unable to take the crap out of 2000 odd child soldiers

It is very sad to see these civilian killings by this bus bomb. When is this mad war going to end? This is why I keep telling the LTTE goon supporters here that the only way for the LTTE is to stop the war and go for a negotiated settlement which is in the best interests of everyone living in sri-lanka.

This is what most ordinary tamils and sinhalese want. Why are militant and terrorist organisations like the LTTE in the way of what the majority of tamils and sinhalese want i.e. a negotiated political settlement like devolution of power or a federal system? The LTTE really has no mandate to stand in the way of a political settlement and this conflict is past its sell by date. That means it is high time for a negotiated settlement and for the conflict to end for the good of all of us.
