Allies were an aggregation of democratically elected goverments. FR was not.

The main difference between the LTTE and the SL Government is that killing civilians is part of LTTE's policy.

For the JVP thugs who killed over 100,000 sinhalese youths,killing a few sinhalese civilians is nothing,as long as it is going to give them some political liverage.
Good point, I admit. Yes, that was a very dark chapter in our history.
But what kind of political leverage do you mean? The JVP wants the tigers to be militarily defeated, and Mahinda, for all his pacifist claims, seems to be heading on that course...successfully too. |

So you know that I don't condone all what GOSL does.

You have to go back to Africa again to see past events. What happened in Ruwanda, Darfur, and Sienna Lion. 'License to kill' the rights were given to SL armed forces and paramilitaries in SL to kill Tamils regardless of LTTE or innocent Tamil civilian.
Let me remind you sir, that we all came out of Africa. If we remember this, we won't have all these problems today.
LTTE messed with the last general election. So LTTE brought upon themsleves the license to be killed. |

As PER...
Seevaratnam Puleedevan, a senior rebel official, said the death toll from the air raid rose to 16 Wednesday when two injured children succumbed to their injuries. He suggested the rebels would retaliate.
'We condemn this brutal attack and we warn the Sri Lanka state of serious repercussions,' Puleedevan said by telephone from insurgent headquarters in northern Kilinochchi. 'It will be a serious.'
He declined to elaborate further.

Machan, tell me the last time the Sea tigers scored a victory against the navy since Mahinda was elected. Tigers bombed a bus full of unarmed sailors because they know that's the only way they can inflict casualties on them.
