More wonderful news for the false state:
Jan 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka stocks ended weaker today on foreign selling of blue chip shares offsetting the gains by the Lankan subsidiary of the Indian fuel giant Lanka IOC. Lank IOC shares rose nearly 13% after it resolved the payment dispute with the Sri Lankan government.
Rupee ended at all time low against the dollar today according to the Central Bank figures buying at 108.08 rupees and selling at 109.56.
At least Sri Lanka won't have a shortage of toilet paper, given how worthless the rupee is and how fast the Fool in Chief prints money. LOL. |

Siva,
Assumptions, eh? Ok, I admit that my view on the timing of the north east de- merger & the army's announcement to clear the east before marching on the north is my own opinion. But do you call the real events in Vakarai an assumption?
And machan, the mobility thing; I don't need to tell you that Sampur was handed to the army virtually on a platter! They just marched in to find that the tigers had done an about turn and vanished. That's why we opted for small teams of special forces in Vakarai: to inflict maximum casualties on the LTTE. That's worked like a charm! |

Then you know what is in store for those who seek revenge.
What revenge? Who is seeking revenge, if you think the Tamil struggle is about revenge well that itself shows why VP was right in saying there is no negotiating with the Sinhala State. If you cannot even see that the Tamil people have suffered for decades under your various leaders what is the point of negotiating, what is there to negotiate, so war it will be. |

So what exactly are we all fighting for? A piece of land or a recognition?
The right to live as equal citizens of the Island, that is all, if a piece of land or recognition gives us that then so be it. But that is the bottom line.
So that no one can get away agin with riots to kill your people, so that they cna never again steal your homes from you, so that they can enver again, rape, kill, torture you with absolute impunity. THAT is what the Tamil people are fighting for. |

Er...any idea why the Eastern Tamils have given up that good fight & are now on the side of the 'oppressors' (ie, SL Govt)? And why do Northern Tamils frequently tip off the army about the whereabouts of claymore mines & tiger weapon caches? |

Yes my friend it is a very complicated phenomenon only super geniuses can understand. Its called being bombed by your government. Yeah, people tend to pack up their stuff and run to the nearest shelter when they get bombed by the air and land. Running for your life with your family does not constitute being 'on the side of the oppressor'. It might be too complicated for you though. |
