In an Island nothing comes anew. The same thing gets repeated. Even if it happens in 2007 it is a re enactment of 1987.
India has shown a good progress in re producing old films with new actors.

More rocket shells found in TN

Madurai, Jan 5: As many as fifty live rocket shells were fished out by fishermen from the Palk Straits in waters off the Tamil Nadu coast in the past 15 days, the police said today.
The Israeli and German-made shells, packed in wooden boxes, were believed to have been abandoned by Sri Lankan militants, they said.
'The shells could have been jettisoned by militants while being transported to Sri Lanka after they were spotted by some Coast Guard officials,' a police official said.
The 50 shells will be defused with the help of the navy or army.
The fishermen, who found the shells between the third and fourth islets of the Palk Straits, brought them ashore and informed police.
'We think it is dangerous. Even during the excavation for the Sethusamudhram canal project they could hit some shells, leading to serious accidents. It is high time police or naval officials made a thorough search of the Palk Straits,' an Association office-bearer said.
On December 10, the navy had found two similar rocket shells netted by fishermen off Rameswaram. The Coast Guard had seized rocket launcher ammunition on December 5. |

Bus explodes in Western province, 4 feared killed

Four persons were feared killed in an explosion inside a bus at Nittambuwa, 36 km northeast of Colombo, Friday around 6:30 p.m., Police said. Many passengers were feared wounded as the bus, on its way to Giriulla from Nittambuwa, took fire following the explosion, initial reports said.
Nittambuwa is located in Attanagalla DS Division in Gampaha District in the Western Province.

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka: A bomb exploded aboard a bus in western Sri Lanka on Friday, causing injuries to an unknown number of people, police said.
The explosion took place in Nittambuwa town, 40 kilometers (24 miles) northeast of capital Colombo, police officer Sampath Pushpakumara said.
'There are some injured people being taken to hospital,' he said. He did not know exactly how many were injured.

To update you a little bit, the leader of the Black Tiger terrorist outfit was wiped out in a claymore explosion a few days ago by the Karuna faction. The LTTE 'says' that he was killed by a road mishap.
