There are people who are ignorant of the Middle East problem and are in bliss.
The Middle East problem was created in 1948 with the creation of Israel by chasing Palestinians from their homes.
The moderate Palestinians such as PLO and its leader Yassar Arafat recognised Israel in exchange for her withdrawal from the Arab territories that she occupied after 1967. The Palestinians want Israel to comply with UN resolutions. Only two countries that defied UN resolutions are Iraq which is no more and Israel which is protected by US militarily and in every other means.
NO sooner Israel withdraws from illegally occupied territories there will be peace in and around Palestine/Israel. |

people like JHU / JVP will not win an election in this island on their own. You and I know that quite well. It is terrorism that has promoted recent ultra nationalistic political parties within the country. You guys still live in history - Year 84. The world has moved on. its time you realise whats going on and settle for something reasonable not 2/3 of coastline and 1/3 land for a minority less than -15. You guys made the biggest blunder when you rejected federal under RW who made it clear he would solve it by devolution.
Sinhalayas dont hate Tamils or want to kill them. There are more tamils in Colombo and South than in Killinochchi living safe. Its LTTE who is promoting race hate against people.
When MR came into power he did not fire a single bullet until LTTE kept on attacking sinhala villages, intelligence and army officers with clay mines.
You will never get ELAM. In reality you guys never had an ELAM. You guys were part of Sri lanka and Singhalese were a part of it too. None of us have single rights to this tiny island its for all of us. I am aware that Singhalese have made mistakes but LTTE is doing no better to improve the quality of life. |

On Tuesday, the Air Force bombed Padaguthurai on the Mannar coast, in North West Sri Lanka, saying that it was a Sea Tiger base involved in smuggling explosives and warlike accessories from India across the Palk Strait.
These air and ground deep penetration attacks were in line with the Sri Lankan Army Chief, Lt Gen Sarath Fonseka's resolve to drive the LTTE out of the entirety of the North and the East at the earliest opportunity.
Just enjoy the fireworks and support our leaders and the forces ...

I was laughing mt head off when I heard all political parties condemned the killing of Sadam!! Are our leaders becoming civilised!!!or is it a dream?????
Or dont they know how they are murdering civilians on a daily basis!!! |

Yes! I heard this killings in the IBC Tamil radio's 12 0'clock news.Looks like they are Irrigation Dept officials aged 55 and 62.

But not Sri Lanka. India set up Quasi-Federal model in 1956. Singapore got independence in 57 but enacted 4 languages as official and implement the act.

You must base your arguments on facts and not sterio type parrotting. There are 9 provinces, how can 2 of them cover an area of 1/3 and 2/3 of the coastal line. It is not about your imagined fractions that we are fighting for, for justice, for equality and rights. We did not fight during those years we were on the run from recurring anti-Tamil riots. We have to stop and defend ourselves against the state instigated terrorisms.

Again your memory fails you. It was CBK who took over the key ministries from Ranil to torpedo the talks he agreed to resume on ISGA and then she dissolved the parliament and went for an election prematurely. LTTE agreed to federal solution and signed the Oslo Accord.
If you look at the fact that on Dec 1 2005 two Tamil youths were murdered in Jaffna after they were warned by SLA when they decorated the LTTE Heroes Day commemorations you would conclude that it was SLA and SLA assisted EPDP that started the present killings. Then only LTTE supporters set claymore mine and killed 7 SLA soldiers. I agree that they over reacted but in their revenge but it was started by SLA on 1/12/2005.

Holywood might choose to make a film on Mahinda! it will be better than any of the comedy film they produce! just put him with his shalwer!! |
