If you want to solve the problems of Sri Lanka pis off to Sri lanka. What are you doing in New Zealand. And take your family and your mates like Ramnie Zoysa with you back to Sri Lanka. Armchair hero's from a safe distance.

Gaja:

It is not a question of parity..............

With Anton Bala gone ( I do not know where he is now) there is nobody in the Wanni to read out such a letter to Velu..........

Unfortunately, that barber fellow TC is yet learning the ABC's and more interested in the Norwegian Language as he is expected to settle there sometime soon...........

Yes Kural.... the Bi-shop writting to Velu indeed is a waste of time. How come you knew that ???????????
Good sense.........

Why is he not doing that?

VP may not have a degree from pirivena and know not how to read pali and saskrit, like your JVP corhots, who cannot even fill in a passport application correctly.

But for an independent observer of events in SL, as neither a JVP nor a LTTE, more particularly the outwittings of SL govt and forces for over 25 years with so little resources, he seems to me like a king solomon in common wisdom.

How many leaders with high qualifications were against him, JRJ, lalith, gamini, cbk, rajiv, ratwatte, denzil, etc, etc, etc, Then there were people like Danapala, kohona. Time will tell whether MR can outwit VP or other way around.

Sri lankans (sinhalese) take pride in paper qualifications whereas developed nations rely on skills and knowledge which can be applied. If you read today's dailynews it has an article about Gananm who could not read or write but became a business tycoon in sri lanka and owned over 10 major businesses. How many graduate can do that?

KURAL

The Singhalas who already posted here are not respectful and brained.

Who are these singhalas - Mind your own writing first before saying to our President. Correction for singhalas is Sinhalese

Writing to a man who don't know read is a waste of time.

Mind your grammer too......It should be said A man who does'nt know..........

Dont bring your broken english to tarnish our President..

We cannot condemn or condone these alleged attacks on civilian targets. These incidents are either known as collateral damage or techniques used by armed forces including US and British forces in struggle against insurgents and civil war. However such tactics are controversial.

Sri Lankan armed forces fight a difficult battle against LTTE and we want them by all means to vanquish LTTE. However we want to minimise the ravage of civilian communities and undue mayhem. It appears that armed forces by hook or crook attack the soft targets of civilian villages sometimes ruthlessly leaving the LTTE bunkers and utilities unscathed.

Ravaging civilian communities makes difficult the task of making them part of the solution to the conflict.

Did you see ICRC confirming this anywhere? I did not see anything. I would appreciate if you could post any source/link.

This is not 'cos I dont trust you but I was really wondering why there is no statement from ICRC since it was reported that they(ICRC) went to the site by TamilNet.

I hope this other ONG's(NGOs?) are something other than TRO and the affiliated ones.
