Mannar Bishop Rayappu Joseph, in a letter to President Mahinda Rajapakse, said 3 Kfir jets had raided a small settlement in Illupaikadavai, made up of displaced people from 35 families from Navanthurai, Jaffna.
The Bishop, who visited the site on Tuesday, said that he saw 12 spots where the bombs had struck and added that there were no LTTE bunkers in the area nor could he see any sign of their camps or individual residence of possible LTTE cadres.
`This attack is clearly on a civilian target, which, as far as I had witnessed, has blown to pieces 13 innocent civilians on the very dawn of the New Year 2007. It is feared that many more of the wounded would succumb to their injuries,` the Bishop said in the letter.

Dear Bishop
You would probabaly receive a reply if you wrote to the God himself.
You should not bring the misery of people to the President for that is not what he likes to hear. Instead, say, among others, in your letter that the air attack was a success and many LTTEers were in the area and they suffered casulties. Say, for example, you have become a target and you need protection. Then you will probabaly get a bunker and bullet proof vehicle.
Yours truely

The Bishop being a educated man should realise that SRO Lank being a Buddhist does not give much consideration to what he has to say.
As a courtesy he should have written to the president but copied it to the four co-chairs and UN. Although this letter would have been read by them they are prone to take better action directly or indirectly when they are included.
Poland fought against a oppressive government for a long time and would be still fighting if not for the Vatican. |

LokuMaththaya is definitely not a buddhists. He's either a tamil or a muslim, so I doubt he would be a buddhist.
Anyway it's your call, whome you call what! Edited By - ThinKing - 5 Jan 2007 00:46:26 GMT |
