Are we going to fight and have war, war, war for the next two decades or are we going to have a peaceful resolution of a conflict which has waged, mostly at the behest of a totalitarian leader of a guerrilla group, velu, for more than two decades, effectively becoming asia's longest running civil war?
If the war continues as velu wants, is that good for the islanders who actually live in sri-lanka, tamil or sinhalese, or very bad?
If the answer is 'bad' then why continue? What good would it do?

Freedom of expression is for all. Not only for one side. There is obviously a doubt as to the authenticity of the pictures. Best is to clear the cloud with credible evidence rather than try to stop expression of views of others.
I believe that this area is declared out of bounds for all. Please note that there is nothing called Tamil terrorist territory. It is all under GOSL and the position of the GOSL is final in the case of law and order and whatever other decisions taken in the interest of national security.
The MOD Aerial video with date and time clearly shows the identified targets being hit. The balls of fire and smoke is ample evidence of Air Force story. However, on the Tamil net they have photos without any dates and likely that these photos are from their archives as in the past when want to gain publicity.

Unconfirmed reports say many known terrorist injured and/ or perished. Time will tell us.
When LTTE is hit hard they always link to civilian deaths. Right now they are looking for any sympathy to save their butts by deflecting their own plight.

How come when a person supports the rights of Tamils he becomes a racist and agrees that passive resistance is not a viable alternative in the SL environment he becomes a goon or terrorist. Where Sinhalese discriminate and support the killing of innocent civilians including women and children they become patriotic.
When catholic clergy speak for the voiceless they become the mouth piece of the LTTE. When the Buddhist monks spread hate and support evil they preach dhama and are patriotic.
When NGO fill the GOSL begging bowl which is then looted by politicians and their henchmen they are good Samaritans, but if they cut the middle man and help the needy they are trying to convert.

Hey guys guess what!
I'm getting an ellam id too! I'll have to provide false documentary I stole from a some dead tamil koot aged 56b back in 2000 from the Jaffna campaign... I'll just use it to fool the enemy of course... I'll volonteer to work for the CID and go deep into vanni delivering vital secrets to the Government like one of my friends... can't mention his name.... but from what I heard over christmas, he has a main position in delivering tamil intelligence to GOSL.... in fact he is tamil. Thats the best part of it too. |
