The Bishop condemned the Sri Lankan military for telling a 'barefaced lie,' that the airstrike had hit a LTTE military installation
The President is busy promoting his own airline. Where would he have the time to WORK for peace - by seeking through Tamils the Truth about LTTE?

You should know by now that most of our leaders are there for themselves,may they be Tamils or sinhala.They will live in comfort,probably abroad,while the country will be in turmoil for a very long time,until they are honest about it citizen's welfare etc. |

It is right for clergy to point out if there are civilian deaths or any injustice to civilians. That is and should be their role, who ever has done it.
They also should be apolitical and non partisan.
Where was this bishop and other clergy all this time-
- When LTTE were openly abducting thousands kids amid the sceeming parents and getting them killed
- Where were thay when LTTE killed more than 800 political opponents since CFA ?
-Did they open their mouth when LTTE planted thousands of mines around 30000 innocent civilians to use them as human sheilds?
- Have they asked the LTTE to allow Jaffna traders to open shops to ease misery?
- Did they condemn Raviraj's/ Loganathan/ Kadirgama's murders?
- Have they protested when LTTE took all freedom away from tamils ?
- Did they think it is human for LTTE to chop hands from tamils?
- Did they condemn 293 suicide bombers and the carnage it created?
- Infact have they uttered a word against the LTTE whom the world has recognised as most ruthless?
Until and unless they do it there is a big credibility factor in what ever they say !!
In fact christian clergy in NE has been a disgrace to christianity !!! |

But we elect those leaders and hence we have responsibility for that corruption. In this instance, Sinhalese have greater responsibility than Tamils.
