Hi-tech IDs for LTTE-held NE

The Civil Administration in LTTE administered regions in the NorthEast has launched Tamileelam National Registry of Persons from yesterday, the Tamilnet website reported.
The programme was inaugurated by the Tamil Eelam Department of Registration of Persons Commissioner S Jeyenthiran, by issuing the first national identity card to LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.
The card will function similar to the Social Security Number (SSN) used in many western democracies, where the number uniquely identifies an individual.
A Tamileelam national registration number is to be assigned to each person to strengthen the effectiveness of a computerized administration, S. Jeyanthiran, told TamilNet.
The Registration Number will be used by the Tamileelam administration as the main index in most computerized administrative records of individuals including tax records, employee records, patient records, student records, and credit records.

Look at the photos of the Tamilnut.lk showing the 'civillians' living under LTTE... Can they pay TAX?? Or do they have credit records...Poor beggars.

A state which needs SL Govt paid workers and food from GOSL is issuing ID's for its so called ppl! Shows their priority is propaganda!
Whoever does not acquire this ID or dont apply for it will be beaten up or SHOT!

| This ID business will be forced option and it will ease the LTTE recruitment. The computer will tell them how many young ppl are available to be recruited and then with a push of a button, their addresses will appear with their pics! |
