where did you get the 3rd condition!!hmmm..
Its a typo in the article and if you look hard enough its there.
what about MR condition that VP has to give in writing that he is prepared to talk
The agreement for above 3 must come as a written reply from VP.
I am sure when the Govt wants to stop the talks they can always say they did smuggle the weapons
Do you know of any instance the govt has stopped talks for ANY reason?
Yes!! Time frame is a good thing but again who will monitor the talks and what is the time frame the GoSl is expecting
I?m sure the modalities will be discussed when the conditions are accepted in principle.
No killings..what about the white Vans and the innocent people missing..will that continue on the Govt side..
Well, if LTTE approach the govt in good faith without playing games, I am sure it will do a lot more than just stoping the white vans. |

I read your post on page 14..It sounds good..
There should be conditions on both sides and it has to be upheld..not just in paper and there should be a committee that is agreed upon which will monitor and if the GoSL breaks it they should accept it rather than saying the committee is biased and they are for LTTE and cancel the visas and get them out of the country..The trust should start with the Monitoring committee!!
1)If you want VP to give in writing , it got to be the same with MR
2)If there is no violence from LTTE it has to be same with the GoSL.
3) The Tamils people should be protected and action has to be taken on abduction & killings
4) Food and supplies should freely get to North and east!! |

you are like a kid sis, GOSL and LTTE both are not doing happy things for each other,...
If they do like that, we are all so happy.

On the LTTE issue let's not forget who nurtured the LTTE first. It was not just the tamil issue as it appears to be now but it was India who created it and trained the LTTE latter proves the point to the issue. Since LTTE did the honours on Rajiv the rest is history.
Berty buddy, on the security issue I believe merging of LTTE cadres to the SLA as pointed to Eelamaya. But that all depends on how the crediblity factor takes in, without trust there is nothing can be achieved and it has proved time and time again in the history.

Yes! we can have conditions but it has to be for both parties and it has to be simple and short and monitored seriously and then both parties have to make a genuine effort to sit and talk..It is time bro!!

what are the conditions that the GoSl should abide by!! nothing..
Lets not get confused here. SLMM are there to monitor peace talks and they have been critical on both sides for not implementing the CFA. Should something goes wrong they have the voice, that is why they are there in the first place to monitor.

This time, if LTTE stops all armed violence, I am sure GOSL will comply full.
It cant risk the IC attention.
Pakistan, China, ready to sell arms to SL. Some Tamils around the world are collecting money for LTTE war...
We are wasting our resources, just to kill each other.
If we can stop, we can use at least 70% of that money for development, and other 30% for S/T/M politicians to make thme RICH.

When you go that political ladder any thing related to money is pouring like a waterfall. Therefore how much we scream for peace does not materialise, both VP or GOSL have not a clue in implementing things other than making a quick buck. LTTE knows should they be defeated that would stop Prabha's income from Diaspora and Gosl knows exactlythe same thing from the arms dealings. Nobody wants a golden hen to die.
