How ru mate? Can i ask you something? i saw you in a earlier thread (may be 1 or 2 weeks ago) discussing about me with JRJ. For some reason JRJ did not have the guts to ask me directly but went behind my back talking about me saying blah blah blah!! The reason i am asking you is very simple..JRJ posted just part of my message which sounds like I was a racist etc..If you read the full message you will be better informed to make your own judgment.

Thank you brother. I am a Guy who wants Peace at any cost and hate to see killings of any innocent Civilians. I will condemn the LTTE or the Sl forces if they target innocent people.
I was shocked to see how people in this forum stoop to a level where they copy and paste only a part of your entire posting so that it will sound as if i am an LTTE supporter and go on & on with that..Even my worst enemy i will not love him but surely i will not hate him..That is just me..!! |

The CFA, and the SLMM are irrelevant in terms of bringing about a resolution to the problems the SL Govt has with the LTTE. Peace talks with Norway's 'facilitation' will achieve nothing, other than providing TIME for the LTTE to remain dominating a large portion of Sri Lankan territory, and the people in this area as hostages. With Time, UDI may be possible - and Norway will be there to support the LTTE claim for separation from SL.
Ranil and CBK had no answer to VP's suicide-bombers, and when Norway 'moved-in' with their CFA proposal they were happy for the temporary respite it gave. But there was steady attrition of our forces, coupled with a steady encroachment into key-areas like Sampur. It was only a matter of time before VP would have been in a position to declare UDI.
Fortunately, we have moved on from the 'Peace-mouthing' cowardly days of CBK and Ranil. Now that we have answers to the military challenge, and the 'lesser-war' tactics (of clay-more bombs ..) of the LTTE - we should carry on 'dealing-out' the punishment which VP had not thought SL Military forces to be capable of.
If VP wants 'Peace-talks' now, it is probably only for the purpose of restraining SL forces from the steady attrition they are causing to his force strength, displacement from vital areas (like Sampur) etc.
Under a leader other than VP, a dimunition of expectations, and a willing-ness to settle for a 'degree of autonomy' is a possibility. |

PKF, According to my short time in this forum, I found Berty as one of the moderate thinkers and very productive person to talk with.
As we all do, we cant maintain just one strong policy for every topic (since this is politics), but nice thing in this forum is, most of the arguments are bringing some thoughts to all... |
