This is where your thinking is completely wrong. In canada where you live you live in a multi-cultural society yet you delude yourself by saying sri-lanka should not be multi-cultural or that you cannot live in a multi-cultual society in sri-lanka? Warped thinking!
Also attacking KIA? Backward thinking! This is where the LTTE has gone completely wrong. You should attack bad ideas with good ideas, dissent bad ideas with constructive ideas which will win people over. |

Good one there. No one should get offended for saying this... but I see some folks here trying harder by the day to change the thinking of some LTTE heavyweights here.

Ltte's aim is to paralyse the economy and get their demands of separatism. This has time and time again proved an utter useless and absurd manner to achieve. In fact their recent attempts have been an utter failure.
Members like Tamilcanuck and others believe that way is going to solve the problem. WHat they lacking is the thought of continuous bombing in the NE.
We cannot forget as the SLMM rightly put across that this escalation of violence led to the closure of sluice gates and within 2 months time we have seen what a catastrophe it proved to be. Had tigers not associated in that mess up we would have made a decent effort for yet another stint of peace talks. For the LTTE peace talks have been jokes as for jesters. So long as these clowns continue to perform their circus we will not have meaningful progress in the country's developments along ethnic lines.
The other point I got from members like Tamilcanuck is they are ill-advised of multiculturalism. Check my previous post to him.
People like Nandana G have realised that moderate mannerisms are the way to achieve peace and we are certainly making progress if not for these clowns who are hell bent on endless misery to poor people.

A-9 road was closed when tiger terrorists launched mortar and artillery attacks on troops from un-cleared areas. The Government has proposed an alternative road from Jaffna to Paranthan that would avoid Muhamale where hostilities are intense. However, tiger organization has rejected the proposal as they would not be able to ?tax? the people and goods that would take the alternative road instead of A-9 road.
Don't they teach you how to read maps in specialforces school? any road to Jaffna will still go through LTTE territory so they can still tax it? Paranthan is liberated territory so why would it bother the LTTE where the supplies went through? They still have to go through Paranthan anyway.

Mr. Anandasangaree, Leader of Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) had urged the Government not to open A-9 road until LTTE stopped taxing, abductions and violence.
And that is why sideshow Sangaree is a man rejected by the Tamil people only existing on the dog food doled out to him by the government, since he puts petty politics over the welfare of the Tamil people being starved to death by the criminal GoSL.

Can you tell me why does a Sri Lankan need to pay tax for LTTE for travelling through his/her own country?
How many tamils been taxed in when Jaffna tamils come to Colombo by the GOSL?

The LTTE knows that their way of destruction and violence no longer has any place what with a variety of political solutions for power sharing being presented by successive SLGovts to discuss and implement. So now, they have nowhere to go, so only way to survive and keep whatever support they have going is to somehow create unstable and destructive situations to keep going really. However, this is creating a lot of hardship to the ordinary people.
My suggestion is that alongside sharing political power, which is very important, the prestgious jobs in the country should be shared between sinahlese and tamils and also there must be markets created in the south for produce from the north so farmers and fishermen in the north can prosper. Also economic development for the NE as well as the rest of the country is very important too.

Apparently your government has done a very good job fooling you vini, if you call the systme in Sinhala Lanka as excellent.
Forget the Tamil issue, you have no law and order even with your own sinhala people, your country is a pathetic and abject failure, enjoy your 'excellent' system.
Oh that's right I forgot, you thought your system was so excellent that you ran to Canada right? LOL!
