im saddend by the plight of the colombo tamils ...i hear that many have fled to safer areas...many houses in colombo which belong to tamils are deserted especialy in wellawatta...!
This is a very very serious situation.
Now, you sea, these Tamils are not escaping for the fear of general Sinhala people.
They are escaping from White van...I think.

havent seen priyanthy lately. i think she knows more about the situation in jffna than me. i saw a post a week or so back saying some are getting by with 1 meal a day because of the blockade. |

I thought i saw a thread in this forum which said Government was ready for talks without any conditions..now what is this confirmation in writing!! isn't that a pre condition..U can hardly understand what is exactly going on with Peace talks..simpe issues take a long time to solve. I suppose we need a little more trust than what we see from the Govt to start something..VP has agreed verbally to start talking..why do you need a letter!! I fail to understand!!

Yes, I fully agree on your point. We have come to a junction where we cannot go around and fooling about on some loony comments. In a period that most of the things depend on valid written document Velu is of no choice. If he cannot write himself then he can ask his deputy to the that job. Talks should be concise and to the point.
Anywhere messing about may not worth mentioning. CFA is not a valid point as no one gives a damn about it thus its a control means nothing else for the solution. What we want is a clear cut assurance which leads to lasting peace.
Only VP has the authority to procure that and let the Government deal it with constructive and logical approach.
