The LTTE has violated the CFA ten times more than the government. Also, the entire chain of humanitarian crisis happened because the LTTE closed the mavil aru sluice gates and tried to take trinco harbour by force as well as attacking Jaffna, no matter what happened to civilians in those areas.
It is true that Norway are only facilitators but what about the co-chairs? The co-chairs and especially countries like the UK, EU, Norway, canada etc. have by letting LTTE raise funds in those countries for twenty two years are perpetuating the conflict in sri-lanka.
Until the LTTE changes from an organisation hell bent on violence to one largely political, they should not be allowed to raised funds etc in their countries.
The LTTEs adherance to violence is totally wrong in the face of many other political non-violent pathways being open to them to resolve political issues like negotiations and a variety of political solutions being suggested but gathering dust on the shelves. If they continue using violence, then they should be penalised by the western countries where the LTTE raise funds etc.
Otherwise countries like the UK, EU, Norway, canada will be seen to fulfill the suspicion that the west wants developing countries to be in long term conflict so they can profit from cheap resources and labour in those countries. Edited By - forest - 28 Sep 2006 20:40:48 GMT |

Revy,
Why do you expect the govt to propose everything? If you have problems then you can propose constructive political soultions youself as well. The govt or santa clause cannot solve all problems for you. If a section of the country has problems with the rest of the country, then it is upto them as well to suggest constructive solutions which will resolve those problems.
So, don't expect the govt, santa clause, or anybody else to solve all problems, solve them yourself, but non-violently , of course. The political pathways have long been open for that to happen. |

LOL what is wrong with you? Read your own post, you are the one who said the LTTE didn't talk about offered political solutions, so I am asking you to show me these political solutions.
As for offering our own, they already did, ISGA, remember, but you criminal government couldn't even be bothered to discuss the matter, so whos not talking again?
Better take care of some of those parasitic vines growing amongst your trees, I think they are chocking out your thoughts. |

| I am firmly of the opinion that they should replace the Nordic truth monitors with a group of Nordic Beauties! I am sure that even the Eelamists in the forum would agree with me on that! |

Revy, tck,
I know you guys are die-hard LTTErs and I am telling you one more time, if you have problems with the sinhalese or the system of govt in sri-lanka not to you liking or problems due to lack of political power or any other socio-economic or political problem, solve it yourself, but non-violently.
The political pathsways to solve problems non-violently have been open for at least the last fifteen years. So solve all problems you have with the SLGovt and rest of sri-lankan society by suggesting constructive solutions yourselves. Don't expect others to resolve your problems. Solve them non-violently yourselves. Edited By - forest - 28 Sep 2006 20:59:50 GMT |

Forest been there done that, trying peacefully in the face of sinhala racist violence gets old after 30 odd years.
Then we try the fighting fire with fire, Sinhala violence will be met with Tamil violence, as I said this worked wonders for the cold war, mutually assured destruction. You know what and this approach seems to have worked much better, the LTTE put a stop to your criminal governments actions, otherwise there would be no discussion now since all of Sri Lanka would have been colonised by the Sinhala and Tamils would have never had a chance at justice at all.
If you want to destroy us, we will destroy you too, give us peace, you will have peace, simple as that. |
