Sinhala parties have learned to postpone the Tamil issue by these kind of nonsense.... Tamil people know this; thats why they have only one voice now

If Srilankan Government and the army change themselves from taking an inimical stance to a friendly approach towards the common and peace-loving Tamils in the country then the whole situation will change automatically. It's the past history of Srilankan army's handling of all Tamils and the atrocities carried out on them that is still making the common Tamils distance themselves from the State. If SL Government follows a friendly approach when dealing with common Tamils and instill confidence, naturally all peace-loving Tamil population will stay away from the LTTE parasite and integrate themselves into the main stream of society.

Srilankan Government and the Srilankans must understand this reality and change their attitude for the good of every single individual in the nation. Can anybody decide his creed or colour or religion or even nationality before he is born? After all, every human being has the right to 'live' peacefully in this world and above all, it's only the human beings that kill each other. Does an elephant kill a fellow elephant? Does a lion kill its fellow lion? If that's the case, why would the men that claim to have an extra sense from the other living things in the planet cannot live together?

Why not all of us forget the past and look forward to a common society where we can live like brothers and sisters? After all life is based on a simple give-and-take principle. Life is precious for everyone. Let's respect each other's feelings and live together peacefully at least for the good of future generations. Let's not sow the seeds of inimity amongst the next generations but instead teach them how to live peacefully and happilly. Let's begin this march towards a common society as individuals and naturally, the Government and the anti-Government machinery will be left with no choice than following us.
