What do the Tamils want at this time? isn't it PEACE!!
If GoSL is not genuine then the LTTE has to do much more to get what the Tamil people want!! if WAR is the solution then sad to say let LTTE do it and one way or another have an end to it. It is absurd to go on without an end to any conflict.
I feel if they can sit and start talking we can live in HOPE!! at present there is NO HOPE for Tamils..do you agree sister? |

First both parties have to cease hostilities to talk.for this cease fire is important and for that CFA.It is not a precondition for talks but it is for confidence building for both parties agreed upon in 2002.GOSL never implemented it! Now I am not saying LTTE did everything correctly.
Secondly it is a fact that some ground has been lost but I feel you do not know why LTTE is keeping a low profile. Few months from now will let you know.
By War GOSL can only grab more land and at what cost? |

Like I said PKF, this has gone beyond the point of no return, you can say all you want about who violated what, it doesn't matter here's the game plan:
-IC wants talks and CFA implemented
-LTTE agrees unconditionally
-GoSL at first said so, then changes their minds and make several different statements when JVP tightens the thumb-removed-s (or maybe it was just MPs lost access to the JVP brothel)
-LTTE plays the good guys - ready for talks, cfa, etc
- GoSL continues to look like a belligerent gorilla ham handedly handling the situation - civilians killed daily, aid blocked despite international outcry, etc.
- Talks happen, doomed to failure from the start, since th GoSL has no political solutions to present the only topic for the talks are going to be implementation of the CFA, just like at Geneva 1. The IC is going to push for this.
- GoSL cannot do it.
- LTTE comes out looking great for giving peace a chance, the GoSL still ends up looking like the gorilla which doesn't have a clue what to do.
- LTTE has no alternative but to go for war (just in time for 1 year deadline).
- GoSL military and economic defeat.
again as I say, save my post and we'll compare notes down the road.

I have always wondered why too. in my opinion and given the current position LTTE is not doing well and i feel they did not have an answer to the air power of th SL forces. I may be wrong but i do no see anything positive from LTTE.
We can go on and on pointing fingers at each other as to who is abiding by the CFA and who is not..This will only drag on and the War will continue!!
It looks like the GoSL and the sinhala people do not have the confidence or trust in Norway, if they don't we should respect that & find someone that is acceptable to both parties and continue in the road to PEACE!! |

Will you also agree becaz of LTTE only there are talks.
Agree people are suffering and enough is enough.But if not for LTTE it would have been more suffering and there wouldnt have been any tamils in SL.
Now tell me if GOSL is sincere why did they go ahead with taking over sampur? Do you think there is no motor attacks to Trinco harbour or SLN base now?
Now does the GOSL have any solution in paper for the tamils? |

Berty, the Sinhala government will never find ANY neutral party acceptable, unless you side with them and say everything they are doing is right, then you will be in the dog house as far as they are concerned.
Look at how quickly they turned on their Muslim politician allies, when all they did was just ask for an independent investigation, they didn't even accuse the government of anything. The divine Sinhala government will never take critisim from mere mortals, this is the truth that the IC are being shown by the LTTE.

Hey people i have the following evolution roadmap (with milestones) for the LTT, going farward...
- don't we all know that 'LTT always goes forward', even when testically withdrawing... :-))
(1) LTTE - Lankan Terrorists of Tamil Eelam
started by a bunch of terrorists with the genuine support of a lot of Tamils, and got the better of the SLAF on a number of occasions like EP, Mullativu, BIA, WTC, etc., due to failures of the GoSL politico-military leadership
(2) LTT - Looser Tamil Terrorists
right now - right here. post-CFA countless failed offensives against SLAF, and major losses due to SLAF offensives/advancements, culminating with the now caractersitic 'testical withdrawals'.
Tamils support dwindles at a rate - both inside Sri Lanka, as well as in the diaspora
(3) LT - Looser Terrorists (note the missing word 'Tamil')
looses Tamil support altogether. Tamils shun away and disassociate themselves. looses Pooneryn, EP, Mullativu and the whole coastline to SLAF offensives. Sea Tigers are officially declared extinct. Parayakaran and TamilSellam are holed up in Wanni with the left-over high-rungers and some cardres
(4) L - Loosers. (note the missing word 'Terrorists')
disarms totally. Parayakaran commits suicide. TamilSellam opens up a high-profile barber saloon in the Crescat. enters political stream. Sri Lanka celebrates with a mega 21-day carnival where ex-cardres of the L outfit frolic and frisk. for the first time in their lives, they get to eat ice cream - and it's free!

1. CFA
2. Norway
now is it GOSL not happy or Sinhala people not happy or JVP not happy.
I feel atleast MR is happy continuing the CFA and Norway.
